About
The scenic ranchlands west of Fort Worth are full of rugged canyons, native wildflowers, and impressive elevation changes, all of which are incorporated into Canyon West’s design. Located atop Parker County’s highest summit, this 1997 18-holer incorporates all of those North Texas Hill Country features and more into its design. Waterfalls, miles of streams, exposed rocks, prairie grasses, wildflowers, and loads of oak, pecan, elm, and mesquite trees highlight the landscape.
Elevated tees offer views of the countryside. In addition to the scenery, golfers are welcomed by generous fairways that make this a fairly user-friendly course, especially given its reasonable yardage of 6,653 from the tips and the fact that water comes into play on only about half of the holes.
Other notes: During the week, the course offers seniors a two-for-one green fee. Walking is not allowed.
Getting there : From Ft. Worth, go west on I-20 and take exit 403. Cross left over the freeway and then make a quick right onto the service road. The entrance is 2.5 miles down the road.

Great time
Played the day after 5+ inches of rain. Cart path only but wasn't crowded so the pace was really good and the cours was in great condition!
Nice course
Played in 3 hours and we were waived through by the only group we came in contact with. Solid course
Nice course slow play
Pace of play slow, 4 and a half hours. Sand bunkers hard as rock. Over all a nice course

Best value around
By far my favorite course in the west Fort Worth area. Scenic holes and elevation changes. Course was still very green for mid August. Greens were soft and the ball rolled perfectly true. For the value you can't beat this course
Course
Good for all level of players. Always fun to play.
Downhill Drives
The elevated tees were a pretty nice change of pace. The fairways and greens were very forgiving. Played on a Tuesday morning with no rush and was able to enjoy the course and have a little time to take in the countryside. Will most certainly play here again.
Awesome Course
I have played a lot of courses in the metroplex. This is by far one of the best. With a golf now hot deal it was even better. I will definitely make a return trip.
Great course for the $$$
Course was in great shape and pace was great (played at 10 am on Monday). Staff was very friendly. Will definitely tell others and return for another round. And you can't beat the views.
Wonderful Course
I was very pleased with this course. The condition was very good and had good scenery. I had played this course numerous years ago and was not too impressed. They have really changed things up and improved the course. Will definitely return.

Great day for Golf
Hadn't played this course in years due to not playing much at all. Set a goal to play more golf this year and glad I did. Liked this course when I played often and still do. It was in great shape and forgiving of my terrible game.
Hill country feel in our backyard
Our group really enjoyed this course. One player had never been there but wants to go back now.

Greens rolled great. Fairways were in good condition not great.
Course is lots of and was well worth the $35 tee time we had. Definitely worth playing again and again.
Great course & a great layout!
The young man that worked in the pro shop was vey courteous & helpful. I liked him very much. I wished I had gotten his name. I will next time I go there. Love this golf course!
GOOD CONDITION
First of all , greens are Champions Bermuda , not bent as one reviewer said . They were being kept long and played very slow for how they looked . Course is in nice shape but design is easy and boring . All but two greens flat . Seems it was laid out by non-professional designer . Great for lowering your handicap . Healthy drive from Metroplex . Hawks Creek in-town way better . Too many holes played 90 degree dogleg and seemed contrived . Par 3 12th has tree blocking green entrance...really?
Wide open
Relatively easy wide open course, with enough challenge not to be booring to the good golfer( that's not me) everything green from rains and course well maintained.

Fantastic course!!
Absolute beauty. I played on a Tuesday so I got finish in less than 3 hours. Course was in phenomenal shape, greens were nice and rolls true. Staff was very friendly. Absolute beauty.
Tip: if you don't know the greens, and on some hole it look like it will break one way but actually break the other way, So if you question yourself just play at the hole
A course you need to play
Canyon West is a long way to drive...we drove from Denton...but it was definitely worth it. The artifacts they have on a number of the holes is really nice and adds a lot of character to the course. The water falls add a nice backdrop on some holes. This golf course is always in great shape. If you haven't played this course you should and you will not be disappointed.
