Great Value
Managed to get the hot deal for £20, course was in good condition considering the heat we’ve had. Greens were great, fairways were dry but that’s expected. Really enjoyable game with some amazing views.
Brads Birthday Round
Course was in excellent condition and the greens quick despite the rain
Great downland course
Played on hot sunny day, fairways a little dry but greens all in tip top condition would highly recommend
Seaford
Brilliant course with greens in excellent condition, could do with a few signs directing you to next tee on a few holes but other than that just great
Lovely
Seaford he is blessed with two fine golf courses. This course is of a downland nature and enjoys beautiful views across the South Downs and English Channel. it is fairly challenging, particularly when the wind blows. Many balls are lost from slightly wayward tee shots as the rough is quite punishing on many holes. The final three holes are absolute gems, as is the first. While playing the course five times in the last three weeks we found the condition variable. In fairness the greens have obviously been receiving a lot of maintenance and played a lot better than they looked. As mentioned elsewhere some of the bunkers could do with more sand. The pro shop is excellent , with a warm and helpful welcome although we were not members.
This course is most certainly worth a visit and I would strongly suggest those playing its for the first time buy a course guide in the pro shop as there are quite a few holes where you need to know what you can't see!.
Played this course yesterday and found it to be in great condition. The greens were super fast and looking great .
Would play again tomorrow if I could.
Golf day
Lovely course which is well set up and looked after.
It was playing hard due to the wind but that made it more interesting
Seaford Golf Club
Good course set up. Not unduly hilly and with good panoramic views.
Fairways and greens very well maintained, only complaint would be the bunkers with little depth of sand.
Warm welcome from the staff.
Seaford g c
The heat wave has certainly affected the golf course, fairways were brown & dry but the greens were fantastic, we felt the signage could be much better, overall a nice golf course that’s a little tricky to find but worth the effort
Lovely course, beautiful condition
We played on a Sunday afternoon in glorious sunshine, there was virtually no man made sound to be heard ... no roads, no planes.... and being on top of the Downs there weregreat views toward Seaford Head.
Clubhouse is nice, but the course is super, immaculately presented and maintained. Greens were flawless and quickish but true.
The course is of a fairly normal length 6234 yards of the yellow tees, but as there is only one par five, that means the par 4's and the one of the par threes are pretty long, making it a decently challenging course. there are very few courses where the SSS of the yellows (70) is higher than the par (69)... but this is one of them and anyone would do well to get 36 points here. I imagine it is very difficult in the wind, being only a mile from the sea.
All in all highly recommended... you are missing a treat if you don't play here. Standard green fee is £45 GBP, but we had 4 players at £24 each on a Golf Now special offer, and the other 4 @ £30 (£120 for the fourball pre-paid online) so average £27 each which was great value for money given the location and condition and overall quality of venue and course difficulty.
Beautiful course in excellent condition for early season. Greens nearly immaculate.
Seaford Golf Club
Great reception on arrival by pro staff. Plenty of good parking.
Course in good condition despite the very poor weather over last few weeks. Greens had been hollow-tined but despite that greens played well.
Only one par 5 but some of the par 4s certainly provide the handicap player with Par 5 challenges.
Looking forward to my return.
Love playing Seaford Blatch
I have played many times in division matches and I'm never disappointed. I played with my husband as his birthday treat. Our course is very wet and it was great to come and play a dry course. Seaford is a fair test especially in the wind, and for a South Downs course it is not too hilly. The fairways are wide and well covered with no standing water. The rough is long but well off the fairways. The greens were good considering the time of year. One or two of the bunkers were a little short of sand but that is a minor criticism. The Pro shop is always good for a bargain, and all the staff both in the Pro shop and in the club house a really friendly. It was very cold that day and when we arrived there were several frost greens however these were all back on bar one by the time we played at 11.22am. Nice people, dry course and lovely views out to see and across the downs, what more could you want.
Long and tough
Great course in fantastic condition be it very long and tough. If the wind is in your face be ready to hit a peach of a fairway wood to get on! Greens where slow but in good condition. Play to your handicap and you have had a blinder!
Good course you need your A game
Played on a benign day its a good course but you need to be hitting long of the tee otherwise your struggle to hit your handicap.
Course played very well considering rain over previous few days. Good winter course. Shame that a number of tees were pushed so far forward. Greens excellent for time of year.
