First time visit

After living in Devon for nearly 25 years and seeing this course on many occasion I finally decided to to book a tee time. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of players, not to busy but a good stream of players going through. The course itself was of a good standard, the greens firm but forgiving too. The only slight annoying feature of the course I found was the marker posts. For example, on the 5th, the marker post which I was aiming for was actually where the dog leg was therefore my second shot was over cooked and found the rough to the left of the fairway. But as I said only a slight annoyance! Defiantly worth the green fees though.

A good afternoon

An enjoyable and interesting good in very good condition and with fine views of Plymouth Sound, Plymouth and Dartmoor from most of the holes. The course was sadly far better than my golf. Hard not to recommend it even at full price.

Disappointed with the greens

A very windy day made for difficult scoring conditions. A good few dog leg fairways means a knowledge of the course and where to put the ball is a must. Most of the course was in good condition and well presented. Unfortunately the whole experience was compromised by the condition of the greens which were variable in pace and very bumpy making picking any kind of line/ length very difficult.

Great views over Plymouth Sound, lovely weather.

Fairways running well, greens quite quick, some bunkers hadn’t been raked even though we were following the members Saturday comp. Everything else was great. Some steep climbs on the back nine! You need to save a bit for the closing holes.

Fantastic views

Stardom heights is a lovely golf club

Unbelievable views over Plymouth and The sound down to the sea

Sometimes it almost distracted me from the golf

The course was in great condition although the greens seemed to have a few pitch marks , players fault not green keepers !!

The pro in the shop was friendly and helpful

The bar staff weren't so much !!! And why no food after 6 ? You would have thought it could earn more for the club

Overall a very enjoyable day

It’s okay I guess.

Course isn’t bad. Won’t be hurrying to book another tee time. Some holes are quite dangerous! Some holes you drive over the previous green or next green! Tees are to close to previous hole. Better courses in the vicinity.

A course with a view

The course was in excellent condition and was a joy to play. A few testing shots and putts. A few tees had us firing off over greens which could have been tricky had it been busy. Great views on most of the holes of Plymouth Sound. Will definitely be returning to play again.

Well Worth a Visit

Very nice course with friendly staff not to overcrowded Beautiful greens for this time of the year Some great holes and some up and down holes

Also a very friendly pro shop and a very nice clubhouse but maybe a tad pricey for some £4 for a pot of tea,

All in all a course to put on your must play if only for the fabulous views of Plymouth and Plymouth sound

Wonderful views

The course was very well maintained with fast greens which offered a stiff challenge. The only downside was being held up on several holes due to slow play in front - but this certainly won't deter me from playing this course again.
