Well maintained and looked after
Course layout is a bit of a let down. To many holes are similar to each other especially on the front nine. Needs more variety.
Everything else can’t really fault. Greens were well maintained and very challenging. Course facilities were outstanding.
Great little bargain tucked away near Bristol Airport
Myself and a friend played this course recently and it was great value for money. A lot of courses are overpriced for visitors now but at £35 for 18 holes, this was an absolute bargain.
Bar and food facilities were great, the course was in great condition and the greens were well kept. It’s not a particularly long course but it’s interesting enough for an 18 handicap. There’s not any water, but there’s plenty of trees if you do stray too far off the fairway.
I will definitely be back
What a course
1st time here and more than impressed! New regular i think
Excellent condition considering
Played here yesterday for the first time. Considering all the rain of late the course was in good condition. The greens still quick. The course is fairly open and the are fairways wide.
The sausage rolls in the club house are huge and excellent!
Really recommend this course.
Gem of a course
Great course, The mid course is a little crammed, so need to keep alert for stray balls from parallel fairways, but overall it is a good challenge and in good shape given its mid winter. Would definitely go again.
Lovely course
Lovely course, was very busy and with a four ball in front we didn’t get to finish 18 holes
Tall pines
A bit soft in places due to the heavy rain, normally quite firm nice course , aeroplane noise can annoy you and the smell of fuel but that apart a worth while visiting.
temp greens
Turned up to find greens were being dressed and therefore temp greens were in play on every hole.
Course was in great condition though and still an enjoyable 18.
Nice course but be careful how much you pay
The course itself is a really enjoyable challenge. The kind of course that tricks you into thinking it's easier than it really is when you look at the yardages of each hole, but there's plenty of trees and danger areas to keep you in check. This also makes it more enjoyable for shorter hitters or higher handicaps. The layout is a little 'samey' front 9, just going back and forth, but the back 9 shows a lot more variation. A couple of the front 9 holes run alongside the airport runway, so you get a great view of the planes taking off and landing. It was a little disappointing though that they lacked etiquette, with several planes taking off whilst I was stood over a putt...
The course was in lovely condition. Greens rolled true, fairways were well kept, but can't comment on the bunkers as thankfully I didn't visit any. Tee boxes could've done with being cut a touch shorter, but this seems to be common with most courses these days.
Be warned though, we played on a Sunday afternoon and paid £33 through GolfNow, but our tee time only cost £20 booking direct. I understand that it's common for courses to inflate GolfNow prices, but a 65% increase is excessive. £20 is fantastic value for money for this course, but £33 is a little tough to swallow. Certainly wouldn't pay any more to play it.
Lovely course
Lovely course in great condition. Challenging in places making you think about your shots. Compliments to the green keepers.
