The Hampshire
First time I have played this course, good size fairways if you don't hit dead straight! The greens are good, all in all I like the course.
Lovely course, very very friendly
Ian the man on duty couldn’t have been nicer. Freebies water with ice. Good man! Course is good, clearly being upgraded but even now it’s not bad at all. Tee boxes are well worn it must be said but greens are not bad
Recommended.
Great value
Great course, and unbelievable value for a weekend. Basically playing from ladies tees as the course is in repair in places but no issue.
Can’t fault it though,
Affordable Gem
For the price this has got to be one of the best courses in South Hampshire…it’s not ivory league but for £25 it is a great course with friendly staff. The condition of the course is excellent…greens are firm but true, fairways have plenty of grass cover and the rough not too punishing…I would recommend having a round here as for the price it’s superb.
Good little course to practice
Nice friendly cheap and cheerful course. It’s a shame the course is a little be neglected. With a bit of work it could be a really nice track. All that being said, there are some nice holes and it’s very forgiving for someone just starting their golfing journey.
Beautiful, forgiving course
I loved my first round at The Hampshire. As a high handicapper I appreciated the length of the gold tees that are the only option right now and had my best ever round. Lovely sloped holes with big views over the landscape.
Hidden Gem
Had a fantastic experience at The Hampshire Golf Club in Andover. The course was in brilliant condition from tee to green, with well-maintained fairways and excellent greens that made for a really enjoyable round. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout the day, which added to the overall experience. A great venue with a relaxed atmosphere! we’ll definitely be playing here again soon!
Enjoyable Round
The Hampshire normally drains very quickly so is always a good option after a spell of wet weather. In fact my playing partners shared a buggy, a rare sight on most courses this winter.
Great value course, greens in nice condition
Always enjoy playing here. No winter tees and playable even after heavy rain. Staff excellent and super value.
Good course
Course time was 12:36 but was unable to tee off until 12:45, teams in front were very slow and but by the time we got to 8th the pace had picked up. Course overall is long and cam be challenging on some holes. Condition of course overall was excellent with only one temp green due to nature . I would highly recommend this course and I am looking forward to play there again soon
Great course
Play 18 holes today and considering all the rain it has held up extremely well, fairways etc in good condition.
Read some reviews about greens not great , but I have to disagree, found the greens to be more than acceptable. Yes they weren’t the best I’ve ever played but all considered, weather , time of year etc they are in good shape
Staff very friendly
The Hampshire Golf Club
Considering the rain we’ve had this last couple of months the course drains really fast and is playable. Our course is closed due to flooding so it’s great to have this as an option.
Got some challenging holes and the only problem is the greens are a bit bumpy but still great to get on a course that’s dry and playable
Good winter ciurse
The Hampshire is a very good course to play when the weather turns wetter. It’s probably one of only a few to remain fully open in the mid / south Hampshire area. Due to this it can become busy at weekends. With a noon T, we were hoping to get round (4 ball) before dark - and just made it due to some slow play in front that bunched up the groups. The rain set in & the last 4 holes were played in continuous rain. Overall good experience
