Test Valley Golf Club

Played here a couple of times now and it’s a real find. So much improvement going on at this course you have to imagine what it’ll be like when it’s finished. In the meantime this is a good test for a mid handicapper. Probably the most welcoming and friendly staff I’ve come across along with really nice members. Greens are in good shape, the course coming back after the hot summer well. A nice mix of lengths and hazards but fair. This is a little gem of a course tucked away n a beautiful spot. Looking forward to going back soon.

Very good course, currently under construction but still a great course

A brilliant, course that’s fair but testing. Great rolling greens with some challenging holes. Some improvements and modifications to the course currently being undertaken but I would recommend to any keen golfer. Not long off the yellows either which makes for a friendly walk too. Loved it.

Very friendly and very well maintained course. Watch out for the super fast greens

Greens needed a bit of work, lots of GUR, bunkers had stones in so not safe to play sand shots. Played as a solo golfer, group of 4 elderly women wouldn't let me through for 15 holes. Etiquette needed to be enforced. Disappointed for the money it cost

Nice layout to the course, not overly difficult, quite short from the yellow tees. Fairways very baron at the moment, I’d like to see it around April time.

Given the "long hot/dry summer" the course was in very good condition, Greens were also very good. We have played the course before - in winter - so it was good to play in better conditions. Club house and staff were extremely friendly and if I lived locally I would seriously consider joining as a member.

Course under construction With no warning from staff, hole 1 big GUR, hole 2 construction of bunkers dug up. Hole 6 has bunkers dug out and no putting green, temporarily put flag in middle of fairway. Used to enjoy the course, but not even a sign to warn of work or on website

Played this course many years ago and I’m glad to say that it has improved dramatically since then. The greens were very consistent and even though there was a serious downpour the fairways and greens drained very well. The only downside is that many of the tee boxes didn’t seem to be particularly level.

Nice course friendly staff just had to wait on every hole very slow I think it was just a certain 3 ball in front of us

Having once been a member of this course 20 years ago it was nice to return.

Amazingly met some old faces who made me feel very welcome.

The course has matured a great deal and was in good condition considering the summer we have had.

A lovely course which is in fantastic condition. It was a pleasure to play there. Our group had a fun round and will definitely be returning!

A challenging but interesting course. Course in good condition despite the recent hot dry weather.

A good but quite challenging course as the rough is currently quite long. The greens are still in good condition despite the long dry spell.
