Cracking Test
A brilliant, course that’s fair but testing. Great rolling greens with some challenging holes. Some improvements and modifications to the course currently being undertaken but I would recommend to any keen golfer. Not long off the yellows either which makes for a friendly walk too. Loved it.
Excellent course
Very friendly and very well maintained course. Watch out for the super fast greens
Greens needed a bit of work, lots of GUR, bunkers had stones in so not safe to play sand shots. Played as a solo golfer, group of 4 elderly women wouldn't let me through for 15 holes. Etiquette needed to be enforced. Disappointed for the money it cost
Nice layout, but baron
Nice layout to the course, not overly difficult, quite short from the yellow tees. Fairways very baron at the moment, I’d like to see it around April time.
Valley on the hill
Given the "long hot/dry summer" the course was in very good condition, Greens were also very good. We have played the course before - in winter - so it was good to play in better conditions. Club house and staff were extremely friendly and if I lived locally I would seriously consider joining as a member.
Course under construction
Course under construction With no warning from staff, hole 1 big GUR, hole 2 construction of bunkers dug up. Hole 6 has bunkers dug out and no putting green, temporarily put flag in middle of fairway. Used to enjoy the course, but not even a sign to warn of work or on website
Excellent greens and very well drained
Played this course many years ago and I’m glad to say that it has improved dramatically since then. The greens were very consistent and even though there was a serious downpour the fairways and greens drained very well. The only downside is that many of the tee boxes didn’t seem to be particularly level.

Nice course friendly staff just had to wait on every hole very slow I think it was just a certain 3 ball in front of us

Enjoyed a great round of golf been many times before love this course greens not to bad for March will play again thanks test valley
Nostalgic return
Having once been a member of this course 20 years ago it was nice to return.
Amazingly met some old faces who made me feel very welcome.
The course has matured a great deal and was in good condition considering the summer we have had.
Great golf club
A lovely course which is in fantastic condition. It was a pleasure to play there. Our group had a fun round and will definitely be returning!

Love it
Love the friendly nature of the club. Nicely kept course, with enough variety in the holes.
You can practice chipping on the putting green, which is much appreciated.
Very good value
Visiting family in the area and looking for a late notice tee time. Test Value was only £18 on a Sunday, playing at 12:00.
Its fairly no thrills and the range and practice areas are a little dated. However for £18 you really wouldn't complain.
The course it self was in excellent condition, despite a recent heavy period of snow/rain. There were a few temp tees but this didn't really detract from the round as they were of acceptable quality.
The highlight was certainly the quality of the greens. Quick (for this time of year) and a very very true roll. Although the course lacks a little in terms of memorable holes and features, it is extremely playable and the greens are a particular highlight. Off the back tees I imagine it would pose a lot more of a challenge. Would certainly play again if in the area and can get the same price!
