Windy Golf

I thought the course was in good shape with wide fairways and pretty good greens.. we did struggle with the windy conditions on the higher course layout but it just added to the challenge. The card contains a course map which was helpful and there are cut paths but a few more signs pointing next hole direction would still be helpful, especially where there is a good distance between green and next tee. Value for money was good, we booked through Golf Now. Overall, our three some enjoyed the course and will return.

Value for money

Played here twice now, got it at a bargain price of £15. Quite a few short par 4s and lack of signage to next hole but apart from that the fairway were in good condition and greens weren’t too bad either

Stag do

Had a excellent day playing 18 hols with 9 of us competing in 3 ball

Golf course was in very good condition was enjoyed by all who played

Excellent greens an very good fairways course was very challenging but the taking part was the best thing

Had a very good 18 hole breakfast very enjoyable great food and the staff were excellent great service would recommend a breakfast before you start a round of golf.

When we finish the 18th it was time for the 19th.

That was as good as the golf great food very good service food was excellent couldn't fault any part of the meal I would recommend the golf the food and the friendliness of the staff

We are looking forward to our wedding very much and can't thank nick enough for the planning of our big day always very responsive to all our e-mail and any questions we asked..

We will leave a review after our big day.

So if your thinking of booking any function with Tilsworth Golf center I would highly recommend you try Tilsworth Golf center you won't be disappointed.

Cheers Ray Billingham

Outdated and not worth the money

Every part of the golf course is out dated and old. The course is poorly planned out. I found most of the other people playing rude. For £26 for 18 holes book a different course.

Probably wouldn't play here again

Course was in good condition, the view from the par 3 sixth hole was incredible

However, what let this down was the course layout or lack of signs to help you maneuver throughout the course. Walking round like a headless chicken trying to find the next hole took a lot of the enjoyment out of what could have been a really enjoying round of golf

Probably wouldn't play here again

Extremely tight course, greens in very poor condition.

You can tell the course used to be a 9 hole, converted into a 18. Yon the front 9 you have 3 fairways stacked up on top of each other, very no protection from incoming balls. The greens were in terrible condition. Patchy grass, with some patched no grass at all, just mud.

Course isn't laid out very well, lack of signage for where to play the next hole.

Tilsworth Golf Course

All in all a nicely kept course with a beginner feel to it. Greens were a little ropey but fairways were nice and short. Some testing holes up & downhill. Not much room for error on most holes. Would visit again as a beginner.

Poor course

The course was short but wasn’t that score-able because the greens were too firm and too small on most of the holes. They were like trying to land on concrete and not well thought out in terms of what clubs you should be approaching the green with. Unless you landed way short you couldn’t get it to stick. The layout is also odd with blind shots in to greens and off the tee and tee boxes right next to greens. There’s some potential there with some nice views and a couple of decent holes but not good value for money at the moment.

Shocking layout

You can’t see the pins from the tee boxes, so are playing blind for so many of the holes. Fairways okay but most of the greens pretty poor. Layout terrible meaning you shoot randomly down random fairways sometimes, without having a clue where the pins are, and fair walks between holes means slow pace of play too.

Greens not great condition but otherwise fine

Its a nice layout, perhaps a little dicey with tee boxes so close to greens with no protection. The greens are small which works well as a challenge for a fairly open course. Unfortunately the greens werent in good condition but the rest of the course is. Very busy as only opened again that week and it was bank holiday.

Walked

Lovely course, weird layout

Very nice course, interesting holes and lovely scenery! Make sure you pick up a score card, even with that it can be difficult to find the next tee, you sometimes have to walk 100-150 yards to it and it's not very obvious.

AVOID AT ALL COST - nasty place and nasty people

A truly shocking experience. Waterlogged course and was told it was a little muddy! It was nothing short of a bog pit. Shoes would completely sink down to cover them in a majority of the course fairways and between holes. Greens were in bad conditions and nearly hit by golf balls twice. Saw 2 lots of 6 balls on the course holding up play. Then when we complained were told that there is no refund and ‘we said it was muddy’. Extremely rude people and a truly shocking place. Walked off after 9. AVIOID!
