Whipsnade park golf
Great facilities ie open and covered driving ranges, easy access to toilet and changing facilities.
Putting green practice area reflects how the actual greens play which welcome .
On course play was well spaced so that there was no waiting for groups in front and the course is well laid out and with clear mapping of each hole on each tee box and 150 yard markers on all relevant holes.
Will definitely play here again
Played there yesterday and course was lovely as always.
Greens were excellent, the ground everywhere is a bit dry but cant be helped as weather so dry at the moment.
Course was in shape and greens where in great condition
Wide fairways, hard greens
Nice course, most longer holes with doglegs, ground hard after little rain so difficult to keep approach shots on the green. Good challenging course.
I liked the course a lot, challenging and long but you are rewarded for playing each hole strategically. Course was in great condition, lovely putting green behind the first hole. Great views on the first hole’s fairway. Only negative is the course is slightly ‘samey’. No real standout hole but for £20 I can’t complain.
used to be a golf club with friendly staff
last opportunity to play a round before goverment shuts down golf courses. we've, me and my golf partner, were lucky enough to manage to book a tee time in Whipsnade park golf club. took a half day off at work and we turned up in club for 14:00 tee off. in pro shop my partner was told that he can't play in his trainers, very much similar to spikless golf shoes, only if he puts golf shoes on. he was even happy to pay over £100 for new pair of golf shoes but pro shop had only few sizes available. poor atitude from pro shop staff shown despite of us paying for a round in advance. we would accept golf shoes club rule with no comments but would expect some kind of decency and maners when things goes not right way. this experience made me feel a bit bitter especialy when I (used to be a member of Whipsnade Park gc) wanted to show WPGC and its beauty to my golf mate.
Nice course heavy ground
Nice parkland course. Has been a lit of rain, the course was pretty boggy...needs drainage, they seem to be working on that. Woujd be nice in Summer. Need signs to next tee..
Played a lot here over the past 12 months, great layout, testing tee shots, really mature course with some very interesting holes. The greens are generally excellent. Some parts of the course have a tendency to get very wet in the winter months, but the greens hold up better that the rest of the course. Excellent value and a bit of a hidden gem.
I bought this round for my sons birthday and I am so glad i did. Probably one of the best course we have played. The greens were in championship condition with no straight puts. The fairways were also in excellent condition. Clever course design with each hole set desperately only seeing a tee to green view. You will need the long irons from the fairway, the course is long and challenging. We will be playing here again.
Nice challenging course
Really nice course with mature trees lining up the fairways. Big greens, the holes are long enough I had to use rescue clubs a few times to reach. Didn’t get the chance to use the driving range but grass range is great
Lovely setting, well kept course.
Would join tomorrow if they had a pay monthly membership scheme.
A lovely course that is always well kept. Some challenging holes and great for me as a high handicapper.
Friendly staff and great off course amenities. Chipping Green, putting area, driving range all available for pre round warm up.
I know a few low handicappers who are members here and they love the place.
Around £1100 for a full 7 day membership, but Perhaps I will look into the lifestyle membership instead which is around £450 for a bundle of points to use as green fees.
Lovely staff - course played v.well
Staff at Whipsnade very welcoming and genuine.
The course is slightly longer than others which makes the day worthwhile.
Greens were perfect and fairly fast.
No temporary measures which made the day very enjoyable for our 4 ball.
