Witney Lakes Resort

Overall we enjoyed our day out, just a bit disapointed in the quality and condition of the fairways.

Really enjoyed our round there as guests. Really good design for mid/high handicappers (14 + 22). Fairways gave rise to some tough lies but it's been a very hot summer and very little rain. Greens were great! Will visit again.

Course was good for what we paid on a weekday and nicely kept. Last hole is nice approach to club house and would go again

A well maintained course with fresh thick sand in all bunkers. A good challenge with strategically placed bunkers and ditches and lakes.

Fair if under trees with undergrowth cropped low. I managed to keep the same ball for whole 18 and am a high handicap player.

Well placed pins and good quality greens, fairways and surrounding landscape.

Everything about this resort is first class. It was a bit wet and muddy the day we played but the club can’t control that. An enjoyable day.

Course was well looked after. Marshal was on course keeping pace of play. Additional amenities. Great morning and afternoon.

Have played Witney lakes a few times. The course get better each time I’ve played it. Drainage is good and it obvious they spend money on the course.

Greens where the best I’ve putted on this year so far. Very fast and firm.

Will definitely play here again.

The course was in pretty good condition but there were a couple of bits of work going on (hole 13 and 14) which I guess is to b expected in winter. Pace was pretty good considering it was reasonably busy. Fairways on a few holes were a bit patchy still but nothing to really effect the game and the greens were in pretty good nick after the rain this week. All in all it was a nice round of golf on a pleasant November afternoon. We paid £21 for the 18 holes teeing off at 12.46 and just about got the round in before we lost the light, 10 minutes later and we’d have struggled to play the 18th.

Very good course. A few issues regarding flooding however due to the time of year and location it is to be expected. Would recommend to anyone at the price I paid (£14) however I believe that the standard price of around £20 is a bit too expensive for this course. All in all a very well thought out out and well kept course.

Excellent round of golf here, course in great shape. . Very helpful and friendly front desk. Shame the 19th hole is tucked away upstairs which is the only reason the off course amenities didn't get five stars.
