About
Cold Spring Country Club is situated halfway between Springfield and Worcester. Opened in 2010 in an effort to bring world class golf to western Massachusetts, the club has since garnered a local following. The par-71 layout is unique in that it has six par 3s and five par 5s. There are also some par 4s in the 450-yard range. The 6,521-yard length indicated on the scorecard can be deceiving since it feels much longer when you're playing it. The golf course has plenty of variety, including dogleg lefts, doglegs rights, short holes, and long holes. Thanks to its mountaintop locale, Cold Spring C.C. offers stunning views that are as diverse as the holes. The vistas from the elevated tees and greens stretch to the Berkshires, Connecticut, and Vermont. From the golf course's highest tee box on the par-3 10th, you'll have a panoramic view of central Massachusetts.

Greens were just aerated. Looks like pegboard. No true putts for a couple weeks. Everything else was very nice.

Good course. Real golf test
I like cold spring. Good challenging course that remains a fair test of the golfer. I think they did a good job in the early season protecting areas and regrowing grass in areas. I think an area for improvement is sifting the rocks from several bunkers. Many of the bunkers have some real nice sand but a few of the steep walled traps are quite rocky. I guess you should avoid the traps though.
Excellent layout and great design with some difficulty
Call Ahead Before Playing
Forced to skip holes because of unknown tournament. Tournaments are apparently scheduled throughout the summer and there is no mention that you will have to skip holes due to the tournament.
I was not offered any compensation for the skipped holes. Staff told me tough luck.
Unbelievable course
The traps are always raked. The greens are perfectly manicured elevation on boxes are extraordinary all around beautiful course one of my favorites.
Walshgolfmw
It’s not the easiest course to find from where I live. They charge quite a bit for their carts, and it’s almost impossible to walk otherwise the play would be slow. My average round as a threesome is normally three and a half hours; however, Cold Sorings is more like 4 hours.
I need another chance
Very challenging 18 hole course, but not an easy walk A mountain course.
Great course. Great conditions
Well, maintained course. There are a few holes that are kind of silly because of the elevation but overall pretty fun to play.
Good course
Really enjoy Cold Spring. Quirky layout on the front but a real test of the golfer. The course requires you to work through the bag and missed shots get severely punished.
Good greens. Staff are nice and offered nice discounts to my brother for being former military and to my nephew for being a junior player.
Good conditions interesting layout
Fun course in great condition. A lot of hills in some really odd holes. The whites on this course are a little too short.
Great course
I really enjoyed this course it has a great layout and is very challenging with different terrain but once you get to the green they are cut well and roll true. HIGHLY recommend taking a ride out there.
