About
Cold Spring Country Club is situated halfway between Springfield and Worcester. Opened in 2010 in an effort to bring world class golf to western Massachusetts, the club has since garnered a local following. The par-71 layout is unique in that it has six par 3s and five par 5s. There are also some par 4s in the 450-yard range. The 6,521-yard length indicated on the scorecard can be deceiving since it feels much longer when you're playing it. The golf course has plenty of variety, including dogleg lefts, doglegs rights, short holes, and long holes. Thanks to its mountaintop locale, Cold Spring C.C. offers stunning views that are as diverse as the holes. The vistas from the elevated tees and greens stretch to the Berkshires, Connecticut, and Vermont. From the golf course's highest tee box on the par-3 10th, you'll have a panoramic view of central Massachusetts.

Rates
Love the course and everything about it but pricing is just too high for my fixed income. You used to be very reasonable on golf now but even that rate has gone way up
Excellent condition and great signage
I just wish this course wasn't two and a half hours from my home. Went there because my golfing buddie and I got a good price on a round and we were up for a ride to a new (to us) course in a rural setting. We were not disappointed. We were even treated like VIPs. Just watch that 18th hole.
Chilly day, good course
Weather was a bit cool, but the course is in great shape, fast greens. Good challenge, lots of hilly lies and testy shots. Good course to play.
Cold Springs review
Played the course and it was a little hilly and you need a cart, some holes are far away for the tee. Staff was fantastic. 9 and 18 are a lot of fun......
Great value, conditions, and views
Cold Spring was in fabulous condition when I played. The fairways are tight, and there are a lot of up-, down-, and sidehill lies. The greens, which are smooth and fast ( but not ridiculously so) are at different elevations, So, while not super long ( from the red tees), calculating distances and placement of your shots on sloped fairways offer a challenge. The holes ( I only played the front nine) are well- designed and vary nuceky, since they are incorporated well into the landscape.
If you like to walk, you'd better be in good shape is not a good shape ( tgere were a few hearty, young souls walking the day I played), because of the distance between some greens and tees and because of elevation changes. But the trade off is terrific views and beautiful rides through the woods.
The staff was friendly, but I couldn't rate the bar/ restaurant because it was closed, perhaps because of staff shortages. At the height of the season, though, the patio should be a great place to hang out with friends, and celebrate your round--- or lick your wounds, as the case may be.

All to ourselves
Great fall day and we had no one in front or behind us. Course had workers out clearing leaves from tee to greens. Excellent conditions.
Great Layout and Condition
It's October but the condition of the course was perfect. Greens smooth and quick, traps raked meticulously, fairways nice. Even at their regular rate this is a must play course
Fun with my son.
The course was in excellent shape. Greens were hard to play because of all the rain before we played. They hadn’t cut the greens. In normal conditions the greens are excellent.
Played here twice this year and enjoyed both. This course is 2 hours away but I don’t mind the drive to have fun with my son.
No staff, no carts, no food service, decent track!
Liked the golf course but the staff and service were atrocious. Don’t open if you cannot afford staff.

Much improved
Course conditioning has improved over past years, due to a rainy summer and repair of the irrigation system. As usual, the staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. We got behind a slow group however and didn't observe a ranger trying to move things along although there was a hole open ahead of the slow foursome. In general, we had a fun golfing experience and will certainly come back and play the course again.
