Cold Spring Country Club
About
Cold Spring Country Club is situated halfway between Springfield and Worcester. Opened in 2010 in an effort to bring world class golf to western Massachusetts, the club has since garnered a local following. The par-71 layout is unique in that it has six par 3s and five par 5s. There are also some par 4s in the 450-yard range. The 6,521-yard length indicated on the scorecard can be deceiving since it feels much longer when you're playing it. The golf course has plenty of variety, including dogleg lefts, doglegs rights, short holes, and long holes. Thanks to its mountaintop locale, Cold Spring C.C. offers stunning views that are as diverse as the holes. The vistas from the elevated tees and greens stretch to the Berkshires, Connecticut, and Vermont. From the golf course's highest tee box on the par-3 10th, you'll have a panoramic view of central Massachusetts.

The scenery is spectacularly panoramic at several of the Cold Spring tees and greens. This is the first hole, a par-three. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/05/2022

A terrific par-5 of 490, the second demands good shotmaking to find this green safely. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/05/2022

The long tenth, a par-4, features an offset fairway and a tough approach to an elevated green site. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/05/2022

A long par-5, eleven features strong ground movement from tee to green. A beautiful and challenging hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/05/2022

Although modern, the course maintains a natural feel. Secluded, too, on some holes, such as the sixteenth. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/05/2022

course has great fairways
enjoyed the course. Greens were in good shape as well as the fairways. Good value for the money
Nice!!!
Great course!!!! Wouldn't recommend walking as its very long and hilly. Greens are really tough
It's OK, but ...
Six par 3's and five par 5's. 9th hole is a funky 200 yard par 4 straight up a hill. The entire course just seems tricked-up, like I was looking for a clown's nose or a windmill. Just not for me.
Beautiful views
This golf course is in excellent shape and the greens are in the best shape of all of the courses that I have played this year. The staff was friendly and courteous. I had lunch in the restaurant and they had a great selection of items on the lunch menu. The food was served quickly and their prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this course to my friends.
Great course for the money!
Beautiful course! For the money - it doesn't get much better, especially in New England. I would recommend this course to anyone!
Course review
I can't rave enough about how nice this course is, but more than that how beautiful the club house is and how nice all the staff I've had any interaction with have always been in the six or seven times I've been there. I will recommend this course to everyone.
Beautiful course
Awesome course. Worth the 45 min drive to get there. Tee boxes were a little on the hard side but overall outstanding course.
Hole 10 very difficult
Great greens and fairways. Need to have toilet facilities on the course, not just in the clubhouse.
Nice back nine
I got a very good deal on golf now the greens were in very good shape but grass in certain areas around greens and fairways was not good . Numerous blind shots and shots going both right to left and left to right Longer par threes overall a good course but may not suite every golfers taste the back nine was more open and picturesque and would bring you back
Skyline Golf
Fun course for couples to play.nice afternoon golf followed by dinner with an tremendous view
cold spring
the pro shop was not very helpful. Pair me up with two other plays and sent them out to the tee box without me,lol.
The fairways are very nice, lots of blind shots and dog legs. Great elevation changes.
The greens were stupid hard must like a links style course. Some green were fast and some very slow hard to judge.
My gps (neo ghost bushnell) was backwards there. Hole 1 was 18 and hole 2 was 17 and so on.
Best place to golf
In my opinion Cold Springs is the best golf course in the local area to me.
Very nice course and facility
The course was in tremendous shape from tee to green. Will definitely be back to play and enjoy the restaurant.
What a great round
Had no expectations going in just was going here because it looked like there was a break in the weather on the radar but I was quickly blown away with the facilities the course the quality of people on the course Played quickly had a great round every other golfers that I encountered they quickly wave me through because I was playing good it is worth the ride for anyone to come here every person I interact with on a daily basis I spoke highly about this course it was one of the best days I've had off in a long time and it was truly due to this course
Our favorite place to golf
My wife and I golf just about every weekend during the New England golfing season. Out of every place that we golf, Cold Springs is the number 1 favorite place to golf for the both of us. We have never been disappointed, the pace of play is always flowing at a good speed and the food is always great. The views from the outside patio are astounding and when the breeze comes through is just feels peaceful.
We would recommend this coarse to anyone e looking for immaculate greens, fairways and bunkers.
Great Course
Went golfing here after a long morning of rain. Course drained very well and left us with a clean feel to an already beautiful course.
Will keep coming back again and again!
great day
nice staff, great conditions, I shall return. nice traps not used to such good conditions
Great Course... Bad Club House Experince
Course was in great shape, very challenging. Not a big fan of starting with a par 3 and then a par 5 that puts a premium on accuracy with a up hill tee shot. Fairways were nice and greens were challenging but true. Sand traps were almost fun to land in as they had nice sand and well racked. Club house was a different story the facility is top notch and golf staff was professional and helpful. However when we got to the turn we went in to restaurant it was a different story. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 cart dogs from bartender who was sufficient but not very hospitable. Still left her 5 bucks despite this. After waiting 15 min for cart dogs at the turn (with only 2 other sets of people in the place) I politely ask if they are almost ready. She doesn't respond expect by making a face than goes to the back. I then here a min later somebody yell what sounded like a profanity. A few minutes later the hot dogs come out and I open the box only to see a hot dog that is covered in grill grizzle. I don't mind a little of that but as someone who works in the food industry they either have the dirtiest grill ever or this was intentionally done. I brought the hot dog back and received a refund as well did my friend. However they were rude about it and were never offered an apology or explanation. I'm not sure if it was a matter of them not caring about 2 golfers who are not regulars and just 2 guys passing through, but the lack of any hospitality is just uncalled for. A smile a some point or a simple apology would have gone a long way.
Great Track!
Cold Springs is my favorite course now that I've played it 4 times. It is quite challenging with fantastic conditions. Greens had been aerated recently but were still fast. All fairways in excellent shape too. This course is right up there with Crumpin Fox and The Ranch. Can't wait to play there again!
Cold Spring Country Club is a must play.
I would rank Cold Spring Country club as one of New England's best courses. The condition is outstanding, and layout is challenging enough to keep even the most discerning golfer interested.
