Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club in Ocean View is conveniently located just three miles west of Bethany Beach along the Eastern Shore. The club offers 27 championship holes that are divided into three different nines, Grizzly, Kodiak, and Black Bear. The holes are played in three different combinations. Each nine has a unique character but every course shares winding bentgrass fairways lined with native wetland grasses and a landscape of sandy dunes and grassy hollows. The Grizzly/Kodiak Course is the shortest of the three combinations but it still has the same level of challenge. Strategically placed bunkers come into play along the oversized greens and water hazards also come into play on a few holes There is an interesting variety of holes that each require a different strategy.

Bear Trap
We played on a Saturday afternoon and pace was so slow 2 hours 45 minutes, which is expected. Played the back in 1 hour 30 minutes because it was getting dark. We had dinner there, Saturday special Prime Rib which was delicious. Definitely worth the trip
Sooooo Goooooood :)
It was our first time here. The course has three 9-hole layouts. We arrived an hour early, and they allowed us to start playing right away. The staff was friendly, the grass conditions were excellent, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. We will definitely visit again next time.
Course in good shape for November… greens excellent..tee boxes a little worn..

Great track. Greens were in great shape and super fast.
Tough course to putt! Very challenging but great layout
The best part of my round was the guys I played with. Everything else is also wonderful and the complimentary balls for the driving range make it perfect. Use the Golf Now app and get a great rate on greens fees.
Great course
We played Kodiak to Black Bear, and the course was in excellent condition. The Staff was friendly and pleasant, and most importantly the pace of play was excellent. We got around in 4 hours and weren’t pushed at all, I highly recommend.
The greens are perfect.
I played here again after playing here a week ago. The greens were so fast and rolling true that made me want to come back again. They were still fast and perfect. A lot of subtle breaks, not easy, but nice to see the ball rolling like you do when watching the tour play on TV.
Great course, awesome syaff
Fun course, challenging, and in great condition even with all the recent rain. We had a great time.
Perfect Day
The weather could not have been better, about 70 degrees, sunny and light winds. The course was in great condition and greens were quick. Only part of the course not in great shape was the sand traps.

Course was nice. Range balls included in price but not cheap. I understand, it's at the beach and not a ton of competition. One of the better in the area. Would play again.

This us a good course, challenging, strategic, etc. Course was in good shape for end of summer. I played as a single so there are always challenges with pace. Good for practice in playing a couple of balls. Had hoped to be paired up didn't happen so only played 9 as it gets too frustrating waiting.
