Plantation Lakes Golf and Country Club

Was in great condition. Greens rolled true. Challenging with hazards and undulations in fairways rarely giving a truly flat lie. Back nine has great potential. Four stars as the back nine is not mapped on GPS or course material or marked with tee box markers. The bowl green on 12 is a blind beast.

Upon entering the course We were really excited to play this course. Everything was beautiful and well organized. The warmup area had everything you would want and was in great condition. The carts have a luxurious feel with great gps!

Front 9: The first couple holes were fantastic. Nice layout with a feel like you are on a really nice course! Then all of the sudden we hit a traffic jam, and it took 2 hours to play 7 holes. It completely ruined our day. I’m not sure if this is the norm, but I would never play here again if it is. We contemplated leaving and going home after 9.

Back 9: It’s obviously a brand new addition. Gps is not mapped for back 9 which made things challenging. It felt like we were playing in the middle of a construction zone. There are no homes or trees yet, just open land. Conditions are still good except for the sand traps which have a thin layer of soft sand on the surface.

Once this course is complete, I could see it being a great place to play as long as the log jam is not normal. It was a shame because our day was quickly ruined by this and we we not able to relax and enjoy ourselves until the last few holes.

The layout is absolutely amazing. Almost every hole is unique and the greens are wild! Can't wait to go back and find something new!

Plantation Lakes Golf & Country Club is now a championship 18 hole track! And the just opened new back nine is an Arthur Hills gem. Risk/rewards abound. With several extremely unique and challenging “carnival ride” greens unlike any others I’ve played on the Eastern Shore. Excellent course condition, beautiful new clubhouse, cart service and friendly staff make PL a a must play. Outstanding value!

Great value for money this time of year. Plan in place for Covid 19 (pay in advance, separate carts, no rakes, things in hole to prevent ball from going all the way down in the cup, etc...). Very interesting layout. Nice combination of difficult and easier holes with lots of risk reward in play. Course in outstanding condition for this time of year. Can't wait to play till the next 9 holes opens up. Will definitely be back. Justin in proshop was very helpful.

Fairways and greens are in excellent shape. Tees to support all playing levels. Fairways fair and ample, however, errant shots pay the price. Playing the course multiple times required to learn risk and reward opportunities from the tee on par fives and the two long par fours (hole numbers 11and12). Greens fairly large resulting in 10 to 20 yard distance changes based front middle and back pin placements. Sand traps in very good shape and fairly consistent throughout course. Course only has 9 holes open now so you play the same nine twice. Changing tees on second nine suggested to make second nine more challenging. Remaining nine holes due to be completed some time in 2020. Overall, a great value despite having top Kay the same nine twice. Play time is consistently 4-4.5 hours.

Excellent course when front 9 are completed will rival aereas top links. Also when new club house is finished I am sure the facilities will get a 5 star rating.

As in the title; great course and well taken care of. They’re in the process of building a full 18 so there’s quite a bit of surrounding

construction. This does not affect the current 9 holes they have. Great layout, well maintained, friendly staff. Pace of play was slow at times but nothing out of the ordinary. Will

Plantation Lakes (PL) is a hidden gem in SoDel. Not located in the touristy areas of Ocean City MD or Bethany Beach DE, PL can successfully stack up the course design and conditions against all others. The Arthur Hills course, with 9 holes completed and the second 9 ready next year, is a bargain versus $100+ "marquis courses" like Bayside and Lighthouse Sound. These better known resort courses seem to get by on reputation alone, but PL delivers design and an enjoyable (but challenging) golf experience. And, to top it off, the pro shop staff values it's customers and works hard to make sure you leave PL happy and looking forward to a return visit. Overall, a very satisfying round of golf at Plantation Lake golf course. The course is in excellent condition, the layout is diverse and challenging and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Golfers should note that the course only has nine holes, which you replay.

Was disappointed with the fact that the driving range was being repaired and there was no water on the course on a very hot and humid day.

The greens were phenomenal. Rolled true and had good speed. The rest of the course was fantastic.

This course is on its way to becoming a top course in DE. Friendly and attentive staff, course conditions always below par ("birdie" shape). Challenging set up and great greens, you gotta play it but, please fill your divots and repair your ball marks.

From the staff to the course, it’s a great Arthur Hills design. 5 tee boxes with challenges a plenty. We were greeted professionally, excellent condition, I love this course. A must play, can’t hardly wait until next year to do it again.
