Plantation Lakes Golf and Country Club

This course is the hidden secret in the OCMD and Rehobeth DE areas. Impressed by course from first looks to final hole. Just opened second nine holes. This course should be one of nicest in Deleware. Better course than Baywood or Bear Trap. Value was great. Played the blue tees and it was challenging. A few greens have almost too much slope, but course is in great condition. For me it ranks right there with Rum Point, Lighthouse, and Bayside.

A beautifully developed and well-managed course with exceptional clubhouse friendliness that makes you feel welcomed. Greens are extremely well kept and, at times, are deeply sloped - offering a challenge to golfers of any experience. Par 3’s are very aesthetically pleasing. Staff was incredibly receptive and offered expedited responses to inquiries. Potential to be one of the best courses in the area. Highly recommend.

Nice course. Front 9 was gorgeous, back 9 could use more work. Grant it, they just opened the back 9 Memorial Day weekend, but give it a year, maybe 2, this course will become a top tier course around Delmarva. Guarantee it.

I have lives at the Delaware beaches for 3 years now and played all the courses in the area. This was the most friendly staff and members I have ever met. It might be the first course that I have played in Delaware where the staff and members actually made us feel welcome at their course. Felt like they actually rolled out the red carpet. It was great. Every other course in the area makes you feel like you don’t belong there. Like it is a nuisance to them that you want to play there. Kudos to Plantation Lakes for making us feel welcome. For being friendly and courteous. And for being the most organized golf course I have played at all year!

Now with 18 holes, Plantation Lakes is one of the premier golf venues on Delmarva coast. This course is a more of a "players" course (versus a resort course). The first time you play this course, you will swear your score could have been at least 5 shots better with more course knowledge. There are many blind shots and hazards on both the front and back. On the back nine, you will encounter extreme undulations on two holes (Holes #12 and #16, I think)...Makes you feel like you are putting on greens at St Andrews. As the course matures and home construction on the back nine is completed, this course could be the top venue in the Ocean City/Rehobeth Beach area

The clubhouse and front 9 were beautiful and while there is a lot of construction on the newly built back 9, there were many nice holes. I would expect that it continue to improve aesthetically as time goes on.

Played senior tees. This is a nice course. The front nine was finished. Some water but lots of sand. Fairways are wide. Not many forced carries. Liked some of the approached shots to the greens are tricky. Couple of greens had a big dip if you didn't get it on the plateau but plenty of room to.

Back nine not finished as far as the path and overall, aesthetically, not finished. GPS on carts weren't working for back nine because they didn't get it done because of Covid. No markers on course, other than 150 marker as to how far you are. Lots of construction still happening on back nine.

Temporary score cards are used, which I understand until the course is complete.

Carts auto-slow down based on GPS. Auto-slowed down approaching bridge and until you exited. Even if you have foot on pedal won't go at full speed.

Unfortunately, they had PC difficulties when I logged in, so it took extra time for me to check-in. Individuals in the clubhouse were nice. The starter was nice but when I said this was my first time, he didn't give any direction as to where the first hole was, so had to ask. No information about the course, etc. A little bit of information would be nice.

Beautiful course and in great condition. GPS not working on back nine yet. They should put a few yard markers on the course other than 150 yards until they get the gps up and running. Cart governor is very annoying on the back nine. Facilities are very nice.

The course was in excellent condition , the greens where true but tuff to read . The design was fantastic.

The back nine you need to stay focused because the surrounding area is bare currently with construction in process. I would definitely recommend and will play it again

The greens were perfect. The second nine is now open and in great shape. A pleasure to play.

I saw that Plantation Lakes was reviewed highly by other Golf Now subscribers so I had to try it. I matched up with 3 other good players and we had a spectacular day. This course will test every club in your bag plus your imagination. The traps are enormous and everywhere. The greens are firm, huge and undulating. The course plays far longer than the listed yardage. There are spectacular, heroic shots needed often and this course has the WOW factor. The new 9 is not fully equipped yet as the GPS is coming online next week . The condition of the new 9 is excellent. I've played all over the country at the top courses and this one takes a back seat to none., Cant wait to return.

Really enjoyed the course. New nine is superb! Staff are very friendly and answered questions. Course was in fantastic shape. Look forward to playing again. New nine is not plotted yet so bring a range finder!! Thumbs up!!
