Not very happy ..
With the exception of knowing some beloved staff members are no longer there make it a no return type of gig . Certain individuals make a round of golf amazing and when they are no longer there it makes it crappy .
Great place to get a quick round in
Love this spot. Not super fancy but for me it is just right. The staff here have always been great and the grounds are kept up very nice if the weather cooperates. Really easy to get a round in, with things moving along at the right pace, in 3.5 hours max. Our last time out was slowed down by the two groups in front of us. I know this is a course generally known for beginners to learn and develop but the guys in front of us were taking so many extra putts that slowed us down quite a bit. Save that for the putting practice greens. All in all, it was a beautiful day and golfing with friends and playing not so bad, it was not worth the heat around the collar. Would golf here again.
A Nice Friendly Course
Birch Hills is a nice course to play in the afternoon. I have not played this course in like 10 years. It is a good course to practice your short game. But the greens had a lot of ball marks and the tees boxes had a lot of weeds too. Hope had a good time playing this course and I would tell my friends about this course.
Greens littered with damage
I am not sure how they can allow so many ball marks and damage spots on what would otherwise be good greens. Were it not for the zero ball and green damage repairs the greens would be ok, all had single grass with no weeds. I am a single digit player and have played many courses. I have never seen a course with this much UNREPAIRED damage on the greens. Any putt hit online would bounce away from hole. An embarrassment for any decent greenskeeper. Really brings the ok layout course down to a 2 star "hit and hope" on the greens. Sad...
Tuesday Afternoon Round
Played 136 on a Tuesday afternoon so pace was fantastic. Fairways were in good condition and overall great value for the low price. Less than 3.5 hour round
Course is good
Lots of short game here. I’m fairly new to the game so I prefer those long wide courses but this one is pretty tough for me. Come here to play on weekdays after work it’s not so crowded and everybody seems to play at a fair pace,
