Skylinks at Buchanan Fields

I knew what to expect with Buchanan, but haven’t played it in several years. The greens were nearly unplayable. They were shaggy, lumpy, and some edges near the apron were mud and sand. The hole looked like it was cut 2 weeks ago with the amount of grass growing around the edges. Still a fun course.

The facility is amazing regarding all of the family friendly options and food trucks. The driving range was packed. Would be nice to see some funds funnel to the golf course to correct the issues on and around the greens.

Always greeted with a smile from staff and love this 9 hole course! The changes made here invite a new young generation! Love seeing all the little kiddos learn to love the game! As a senior having played here for years it has become e a breath of fresh air for a previously dying course!

Buchanan is a beginners golf course, and new ownership understood that from the get go. They have cut down a lot of the foliage that stole balls in the past and have improved the condition of the grass. It plays better than before and really suits its purpose now. There are family facilities and the range is top notch. Prices have gone up a little, but it’s still a great value. If you’re a new golfer, this every man’s golf course is a great place to level up.

Improvements to the course and the experience keep on coming. Great chipping and bunker practice area is something a lot of courses don’t have these days.

Tee boxes are worn out and some are too hard for a tee. Greens are bumpy with what looks like low cut crab grass. Pace of play is a problem with tee times every 10 minutes and parents play with kids.

Greens need work. But if you just want to work on par 3 out the tee box. Course will do fine

I’ve really enjoyed the changes the new owners have made to Buchanan aka Skylinks. The range is great and the amenities are even better. They’re making great progress to the course conditions (tee boxes, fairways..) the greens need a little more loving, they are very bumpy. Other than that it’s great!
