Solid course
For the price it’s a solid course! It was a little bit busy when we went so we had a group pile up due to some new golfers but overall still a nice time on the course.
Not crowded in the afternoon
Being in a senior community, Seven Hills has been pretty open in the afternoon. It’s been such a hot summer that locals have gotten used to early tee times. Yesterday, we had beautiful mild weather and no waiting on any hole.
The rain also greened up the fairways. Greens were a bit slow though.
Staff members are all friendly. The bar and restaurant are excellent.
Going in the wrong direction
Since I last played in April 2022 the condition of the course has faded. Greens are severely pock marked. Fairways have bare spots, but are soft and drives do not roll much. Tee boxes are atrocious with weeds everywhere. However, the sand traps are in excellent condition with plenty of sand. This course is still a good value for the money. NOTE: this is an old school course with small greens that plays longer than the yardage.
Solid Old School Course
Seven Hills is buried in the depths of Hemet and is a throw back to old style 1960's desert golf. Wide fairways, small greens and reasonable conditions match the friendly green fees to make for an enjoyable round of golf. If you find yourself deep in the Inland Empire, you could do worse than this old gem.
Great Pace of Play
Course was in pretty good shape, especially for <$30 weekday. Better than I'd expected. Didn't see many other golfers out there and the only one we actually encountered let us play through almost immediately, which helped use and another single I got paired with finish 18 in about 2:40. Staff was courteous but not overly friendly and seemed to prioritize locals. Not a big deal but was certainly noticeable. Also the actual menu being offered was much smaller than is stated online. Pace of play more than made up for the minor issues stated above. I'd recommend the course to others but would have to say it's kind of a bare bones muni-esque golf course. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing and was expected to a lesser degree based on price alone.
Best Value in the Inland Empire
The course is in really great condition. The fairways are well watered and green as can be with no bare spots. The greens are small and fairly easy to read. They are in excellent condition as are all the green side bunkers. We have been teeing off around 11AM and had a number of three hour rounds. No beverage cart but a good bar and restaurant at the turn. The staff are very friendly. Their carts have a few miles on them but are clean and well maintained. Nothing to complain about on this excellent track.
Lackluster
This is a flat course with very little of interest. Only 1 water hole. Mostly wide fairways with smallish greens. Lots of mature trees to create trouble for the wayward drives or long irons.
Course condition was less than par. Tee boxes were rough, fairways very patchy, some of the bunkers had no sand, the greens were probably the best part of the course, but some of them were quite patchy, nonetheless. Some of the rough is so deep a lost ball may result.
Staff was friendly enough, but the overall experience was uninspiring. Still, a good value for the $22 green fee, which included a cart. Perhaps in the fall, when the weather is less hot and business picks up, they will do a better job on maintaining the course. But for now, it's lackluster.
Great condition
Seven Hills is in excellent condition. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are beautiful. The bunkers are well sanded and maintained. It’s in better condition than tracks that charge twice as much. Pace of play was great. The staff is very friendly. Haven’t tried the bar and restaurant but they look good.
Course is in great shape
It's been a while since I played this course, the course is in great shape and would not hesitate to recommend this course.
Great course to prefect your game
The course is great and tests all your skills to get a great score.
Always enjoyable
One of my favorite courses to play. This round was particularly good with the conditions of the course and pace of play. Will definitely be back over the summer.
