BEST. CHRISTMAS GIFT. EVER!
My wife and I traveled to the DR on Christmas day. We drove to PGA Ocean's 4 from Punta Cana the next day and experienced the most spectacular round of golf ever. The course was in perfect condition and the cool, gentle Christmas winds of the Caribbean caressed us at every turn. Do not pass up the opportunity to play this course. It is a bucket list, once-in-a-lifetime destination course. It would be worth any price just to be able to play the four spectacular ocean holes (7, 8, 16, and 17) but the entire course is immaculate. I have seen golf in the DR on television before and could not believe how beautiful the courses were. Seeing is believing. I have played 5-star courses all over Florida, plus Costa Rica, Palm Springs, CA, Lake Tahoe, CA, Bandon Dunes, OR, Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. PGA Ocean's 4 was the best experience of all. I will dream of playing there again and hope my dreams come true.
This is what golf heaven must feel like...
From beginning to end, this was truly the most incredible golf experience I have ever had in my life. I've had the good fortune to golf at many wonderful clubs and courses in this hemisphere but PGA Ocean's 4 was by far the most remarkable experience of all. I have not stopped thinking about our day on this beautiful golf course. Absolutely impeccable conditions, friendly staff and a stunning, challenging layout. I imagine that the other famous + up and coming DR courses have a lot to offer but I will never forget our visit to PGA Ocean's 4. GOLFHEAVEN
We booked via tee off( deal times) so it was half the regular price ….but locals play even cheaper (understandable,)…. Course is in great shape,, ocean view holes are amazing, (on a hot day it is tempting to jump in the water), greens are mad fast,,, thankfully with Carlitos (caddie) help we managed speed “ok “. We enjoyed the course and had a fun round… it is definitely a course I would consider playing again and highly recommend to any golf enthusiasts!!!! FORE…..
FOOD wise their ceviche is worth having!!!!
Best value for money course near la Romana
I had been for ten days in the island playing several well known courses (Teeth, Punta Espada, Corales) and I saw some good reviews on this site about PGA Ocean's 4 and gave it a try. Did not have much expectations but to be honest it was a big surprise to me, comparing to the others the price was much cheaper and the course design, with 5 holes by the ocean, great beverage service and greens conditions (incredibly fast) were worth the visit. I definitely will come back again
Incredible layout
This is one of the most beautiful courses I have ever played! Very rewarding to hit the fairways, as there is tons of trouble for missing off the tee. However, still fun for all handicaps. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing
I loved this course. Much cheaper than other courses in the area and a real treat to play. Several holes are along the ocean with the waves crashing ashore. Conditions are perfect and I had the course to myself playing on a Monday. I will definitely play again.
Really nice and technical course
Really nice and technical course but the Fairways were sometimes a bit dry and very rolling.
It is still an impressive course that I would recommend if you stop by La Romana
Challenging but fair
This is certainly worth playing. I booked through Golf Now and picked the cheapest deal at $80. It was well worth the money. Played mid day on a Sunday and the course was a bit crowded but the pace was still good. The holes along the ocean were stunning and the other holes had character and the design was interesting. I did not play a single hole that was disappointing. Unlike my triple bogey on 18.
Great course - bad carts
The course is really challenging and with some breathtaking views and layouts. Wind comes into play on the 5 coastal holes.
But seriously: the carts were horrible and when we arrived, there was not a single car left on the fixed time….
But a course really worth to play it
Golf guru
best course nearest santo domingo, about an hour out depending on traffic, amazing layout with ocean holes, amazing shape, best greens around and very quick. Immaculate fairways, T boxes etc.. carta are dated but who cares. Gold course has been renamed PGA Oceans, and under new management. Tough course from the tips or blues with wind. Split fairways, island green, and amazing scenery. Well equipped club house and has nice restaurant bar. Nice range with covered stalls, but could use new range balls. Good service, nice people, special deals on golf now is beat price anywhere. To play this quality course under $100 is a great deal and well worth the drive. Cant wait to play it again soon.
Travel guru
I played from the pro T's to get the full course, as a low handicapper this course is very good, your drives must be precise to make the fairway on some longer holes. The design is fair but challenging in the wind. Greens are exceptionally true and have good roll. The course is in great shape. The ocean holes are as good as teeth of the dog in Casa de Campo. Club house is well equipped, the range has both grass and mats , carts are junk but sea breeze doesn't help their appearance. This is the best course closest to Santo Domingo. Book here for best deal on t time. Cant wait to play it again.
