Dragonfly Golf Club

When I play there I find it very frustrating when I have to listen bells ringing and watch advertising on the yardage "screen". I come out to enjoy a round of golf with a friend or meet new friends and enjoy a relatively quite environment and enjoy the surroundings.

These interruptions reduce the enjoyment of a game of golf and the surrounding's. I may start playing elsewhere occasionally or completely.

Love the course only pet pea was the sand traps alot of rocks need to put more sand

The course is fine but I'm struggling with my driver and I think it's a mental thing as I can hit everything else fairly well.

Great and tough course to play. Super windy that day also so that didn’t help but other than that no complaints. Course was in impeccable shape and pace of play was smooth as well. Highly recommend to any golfers coming through CA. Thank you again all the staff and workers. Will definitely be back.

Fringe areas around greens are in poor condition, some bunkers have no sand.

For what they are charging course should be immaculate.

It seems the course is currently struggling with maintaining consistent green conditions. Over the past several visits, the greens have been aerated frequently—almost every other week by appearance. On two separate occasions, I called ahead to confirm course conditions and was assured the greens were in excellent shape and had not been recently punched. However, upon arrival, I found that they had been aerated that very morning.

Additionally, the fringe areas around the greens are in poor condition, consisting largely of sand, patchy grass, or compacted dirt. During our most recent round, the grounds crew was actively mowing and watering the greens while we played, which led to multiple delays as we waited for them to finish their work and reset the pins.

Unfortunately, the course seems to have declined significantly over the past year. Until conditions improve, I would recommend considering alternatives such as Eagle Springs or Riverside.

The greens have been punched multiple times this calendar year. I don’t know what’s going on there but it seems like they can’t figure them out. The last time we played there we asked if the greens were punched and were told that they were not. We showed up and unfortunately they were. The time before, I asked while paying and they said no. They were punched that day as well. The course used to always be in great shape but I do not recommend until they can figure out the greens. The “first cut” around the greens are sand and have been like that for over a year.

The course itself was in great shape and had a lot of potential for an enjoyable round. However, my experience was severely impacted by the grounds crew. They were constantly in front of my cart, moving slowly and watering every green right before I arrived at each one. This made the greens virtually unplayable — completely soaked and inconsistent.

On multiple holes, they continued watering even as I was standing in the fairway, clearly waiting to hit. At one point, it took them no joke five minutes to move off the green so I could play. This happened more than once and significantly disrupted the pace and flow of the round.

I understand maintenance is necessary, but this was poorly timed and managed. For the price of the round, I expected a much smoother experience. I would really appreciate a refund or at least a complimentary round to make up for the inconvenience. The course is great, but the mismanagement that day really took away from the experience.

Dragonfly is one of my favorites. I recently enjoyed a round under beautiful weather in the Fresno area. The course was in good shape and was nice enough to yield a couple birdies.

I used to love Dragonfly and was one of my go to courses when I worked in Fresno. It’s been about 3 years since I’ve played here and the course has really gone downhill yet prices have increased.

The main issue was the state of the areas around the greens Absolutely horrendous. Mainly hard packed dirt with patches of grass here and there. This includes the fringe area of the greens. The greens themselves are in the process of being aerated. They were out punching them as we were playing. Greens had a number of dead spots in them.

Sand traps were a mixed bag. Half were rock beds that were more gravel pits than anything. Certainly nothing you want to swing nice clubs through. A few had beautiful sand.

Fairways were fine. Decent coverage throughout and offered both a nice hitting surface and good rollout. Tee boxes were pretty chewed up. Manageable but not ideal by any means.

No complaints with the staff members. Dragonfly has been hiring all teenagers for the last 5+ years and hats off to the kids as I’ve never had an issue with any of them. They are all friendly and attentive.

I would seriously avoid this place. There are better options with cheaper rates in the area

It was a nice mid afternoon tee time and I played with a father and son who only played 9 holes. the rest of the time I was a single which is fine with me.

There are some rough terrain areas that could be improved as bouncing around in a cart that could knock you teeth out, that terrain sucks. Also their bunkers aren't that good, some are fine, some have so little sand, a 1/2 inch, that its like hitting off hidden hard pan and then there are those that seem fairly decent.

Hadn’t played Dragonfly in a while. Nice course, good layout, patchwork grass around 1/2 the greens. Otherwise an enjoyable course.
