Shadow Mountain Golf Course

Not a high end facility but still was a fun round with new friends from Tucson

This course would be so much better if walking rates were offered and strongly encouraged. The fairways would be in much better shape with reduced cart play..

The clubhouse and restaurant/bar are closed as they are remodeling. Temporary bar is there!

I have never seen a putting green this large.

The guys I played with were great as was the round.

Good value for the money , very enjoyable stress free round of golf. Only 5200 yards long but not what I consider easy.. The outdoor lounge area is a great spot for a refreshment after your round.

Decided to play by myself and was fortunate to be paired with a very nice guy. The very nice lady who worked the pro shop couldn’t be more helpful. I will be back and with my wife.

We didn’t expect much, because of the low greens fee. We were pleased with the exceptional quality of the sand in the bunkers and the greens. I would say the greens were as good as an expensive course.

The layout was quirky, bordering on unsafe. Three times we had balls drop right next to us, and nobody bothered to say fore…which is a statement about the kind of people who play inexpensive courses, but course layout didn’t contribute to a safe environment. You could tell the people who had played the course before because they knew where the trouble would be, and avoided it. Being newbies here, we weren’t as wise.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed ourselves. We will be back.

Really nice people and wonderful conditions. Liked that the holes weren’t all real long. Designed for senior players. I will be back with my wife next time.

First time player. The tees were fair, so were you fairways, but your greens were excellent. No matter how fancy or lush, if the greens are not puttable, you have a cow pasture. Your greens are a lot of fun, thank you.

It’s just not a good course. Conditions of the tee boxes and terrain were fine but it’s just ugly, feels like playing golf through a trailer park. This should be a $40 green fee not $80+. Also difficult to find the next tee boxes, poorly laid out. The thing that makes this problematics really is the price tag. It’s just not nearly nice enough to warrant that.

Played a week ago and course looked like it was getting much better then on Friday looked terrible fairways brown greens are in good shape and the traps are better.

We enjoyed our round. We were disappointed that for the price the facility had a construction trailer as a "pro shop" and did not have a driving range. The hitting mats and nets were in very poor condition so we were unable to warm up before our round.

Most of the course was in fair condition and the greens were very well maintained and made the course a good challenge!

Group ahead was a stag and was very very slow. But we did get a call from the course asking about our experience

If you want to play a round of golf" where you can see the "local wildlife" in its natural habitat just come to Shadow Mountain. Golf!

This course is for bros, with beers, exposed bellies /farmers tans, bad swings and bare feet. Seriously, anything goes!!! No ranger to monitor, pace of play is horrific, liable to be injured from errant shots coming from every direction, and course condition is anything but below adequate.. This is a course where, truly, the inmates run the asylum!!

For the reputation of the owner being a class act and an asset to the community, her golf course and its players are anything but. A BIG black eye!!!

First time to play this course. We needed to find something in the desert that didn’t break the bank every time we play. Met awfully nice folks. Loved the burgers and dogs at the turn. Greens in great shape. A fun, value-friendly course which served as a shakedown round before heading elsewhere the next day ($$$). We will be back!!

After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant to play here. I was pleasantly surprised at the shape of the course . Obviously a little rain can make a difference.

Greens were quick and true.

Fairways seem sparse. Tees were not level.Greens although smooth were very hard and not receptive.
