The Fields Golf Club

There was no indication of course maintenance on their website. My playing partner and I drove from Conyers and Dacula respectively. We drove down here because I saw a post that claimed how nice it was. Never again. I will always call ahead from now whenever making arrangements to play a course I’ve never played. The staff was friendly and explained the discounted fee was because they were conducting maintenance. What they failed to explain was, on any given hole, the greens would be receiving maintenance. Why not just close 9 holes for the day, then do the other 9, the next day. The greens are not the only thing that needs attention. Don’t waste your time coming here.

I play regularly around the Columbus/ phoenix city area, this was my inaugural trip to this course. I will be back, I am bringing friends. Fantastic course, fair pricing, lots of challenge, great staff and the fastest greens I have ever played, like ice rinks and massive size. The only downsides I have are irons only driving range and the clubhouse renovations, we had to run into town to grab lunch. 5/5 will be back again.

Very nice staff. Golf carts worked great. Course well maintained and played well.

Course could use some TLC. Fairways were thin and bumpy, greens rolled well and were quick but were a bumpy too. Enjoyed layout.

Course could need a little TLC in some bunkers and tee boxes, greens were great. For the price they charge, this is the best architectured course within 75 min of Atlanta that I've played.

Great staff and loved every minute being there. No frills.. just pure golf at the core.

Great mix of short dog legs, huge par 4's, rolling hills, water and a 215 yard par 3. True and fast greens. Fantastic staff who accommodated me as a single - under 3 hours on a Holiday Monday! Course is a little rough in patches but this should not discourage you on an otherwise great layout. I will return and am looking forward to seeing it when things green up in a few weeks.

There are no tee markers indicating the hole you are playing. Likewise an absence of layouts on the scorecard so you can get disoriented and end up approaching the wrong green. Which happened to my group. But. The staff are great. The greens are large and in great shape for this time of year. Wide fairways. Overall we loved the course and had a great time. I would love to play it again. Highly recommend

Good course but the signage was not good. Got confused as to where to go after a few holes... But greens were great.

A good, wide open layout with a variety & challenging holes (except for some blind tee shots), very friendly staff, and a good get-a-away course to play to drive to LaGrange, GA

I would like to play it again later in the season, when the fairways and rough has greened up.

Overall, the GolfNow deal was very good price for this course for our 3-some to play at Noon time!

This was a last minute tee time so I didn't know what to expect. The greens are in beautiful and very fast conditions. This course has plenty of twist and turns that can grab you if you're unfamiliar with it as I was. A very fair but challenging course that will certainly improve with the weather. I could not say more about the friendliness of the staff and owner Mike, a great pleasure to golf there. I would like to see a lay-out of the course on the score card but other than that, I would play here anytime.

This is a really enjoyable course that promises to become even better with arrival of spring I great views.
Facilities in good condition despite several inches of rain 36 hours before. Sand hazards, greens and tees in very good condition.
