Love Sherwood, but 😬
Tee boxes and many greens in horrible shape. $50 to walk with several greens that are, frankly, unplayable. Played here a couple of months ago and the course was in great shape. I realize that nature's ebbs and flows effect course conditions, but rates should be adjusted accordingly.
Sherwood Forest golf course
Il love this coarse. There is plenty of shade for the hot days. The running river is beautiful. It’s so peaceful out there. I saw a deer last time I played. The staff has to be the friendliest of all clubhouses in the Central Valley. I love that you are hitting from grass on the range. This is definitely my favorite coarse
Good value
I played Sherwood on a hot Friday afternoon which made for quicker pace of play. The river was flowing and hearing the peaceful sound of the water added to course ambiance. Overall a good day and good value. The only downside is the greens are not in great condition.
it is a great course
I moved out of the area a few years ago. I came back and completely enjoyed my round.
we had a 1200 tee time with no one ahead of us for a few tee times we were able to play at our pace.
The pro shop staff was great.
I came prepared....I don't know what changed but there were absolutely no mosquito issues during this round.
The course was amazing. When I come home to clovis I will continue to schedule a round a Sherwood
Heard it was looking good so I tried it again
This course has had problems for years with their greens but heard it was better. NOPE! 6 greens are good but the other 12 are just purely horrible. They are super sandy and soft and they have to leave them long and sort bouncy all over the place. Fun layout, if they ever get their you know what together,.. you know. But as long as the daughter still owns it she has never had a clue how to get it back to the old shape it was in. Crabgrass in a LOT of greens shows they just don't care. Save your money and play Madera CC or Ridge Creek in Dinuba.
Great day for golf!
Very nice course, we have played it many times. I’m an average golfer in my Sixties and I find it relaxing but challenging. The tree lined fairways make each hole seem narrow with little room to miss the fairways. The course was in great shape and the pace of play was pretty casual. We go there a few times a year and I highly recommend to everyone.
