Greens are nice
Past times playing greens were rough. ALL THE GREENS are really nice condition.
Excellent course condition. There are a few memorable holes.
I booked my tee time through TeeOff. We got to the course 20 minutes before our tee time and noticed that it wasn't the usual amount of crowd, which was odd since it was a beautiful day and barely anyone was out, maybe a handful of folks. This was at 7am on a Saturday.
We checked in and we were told that there's a tournament happening that day and our TeeOff booking with a confirmation was not in their system. Further, the only valid 3rd party site they go through is GolfNow. I gave them a copy of my confirmation and at the same time, another person, which appeared to be the main guy overheard the conversation. Ultimately, he granted our booking and we ended up playing in the best condition the course has ever been plus the pace was excellent (we encountered the tournament at the turn and the group in front of us was moving well).
We enjoy playing at Sherwood. You have to control your drives on a number of holes, otherwise, you will end up hitting a tree and hope for a lucky bounce. The greens were in excellent condition. We will certainly continue to play there, except be wary when booking through TeeOff. It's a good idea to call in advance and confirm your booking.
We apologize for the confusion at check-in and are glad to hear that ultimately, your experience on the course was excellent. Thank you for your feedback and continued support; we'll work on making the booking process smoother for our golfers.
Sure Thing At Sherwood
Golf Course conditions are improving especially the greens. Greens rolling a bit slow for my preference but otherwise good!

Slow, Slow, Slow!!!
Sherwood is a Great Course & the conditions are Greatly Improving but the pace of play is deplorable. That alone will prevent me from playing here again. 18 holes took over 5 hours to play there is no reason for a round of Golf to take that long! Let’s do something to speed up play!

Back to great conditions!!
Sherwood has always been a favorite of mine. Especially on a hot day. Plenty of shade and being next to the river on a few holes, if you are really hot I got for quick shirt dunk to get that snow melt dripping down my back.
But a few months ago the greens were in horrid condition, but rest assured my fellow golfers. They have cleaned the place up nicely! Great course for the cost. Always delivers on that old school local course vibe.
Book a round. And be sure to be hitting it straight, the trees are great for shade. **** to play out of.
Sure woods
Beautiful established trees for overhead cover through a lot of the course which is rare in the valley. Nice tight fairways with enjoyable course layout. Greens can be hit or miss through the season, but for the cost, this is one of my favorite courses around to play.
Fun at Sherwood
I always enjoy playing Sherwood Forest it’s such a great layout in a beautiful setting. Course was soggy after heavy weekend rain but still very playable. Once they cut the greens a bit closer so they run a bit faster that will be awesome!
Speed up Greens & Pace of Play
I love Sherwood Forest GC & they are really trying to get the Course in shape. But today the greens were super slow & nobody in our group could get the ball to the hole. Also pace of play horrible it took us 5 hours to play & we waited for a group ahead of us that hadn’t even teed off & that was on every hole! Please mow the greens so they have an acceptable pace & get a Marshal out on the Course to speed up play!

Nice course
Winter golf but the fairways are decent . Greens are getting better but had a little sand in spots. Still very puttable. It's a tight , tree lined course which makes it a challenge to hit some fairways.
Much improved
When I played this course in was in the est I have seen in years. Maintenance crew is doing a great job in maintaining it.
It is located right off Kings River in Sanger. Beautiful Area
I would recommend giving it a try for yourself

The green are being work on , lot of sands but it will be nice once they are done.
