Clubhouse serves drinks only on Monday

My round at Elkhorn perfect. The course, the weather made my day. I lwould recommend it to anyone.

I haven’t had 3 birdies in a very very long time time, probably going back to the late 90’s. I was a lot younger and the golf game was something special game for some people. I set my personal record in the under par only in Hawaii, a long time ago. Today I hit a single score for the first time in about 15 years. Perfect weather in the high 70’s with a little breeze, blue sky and most of all, the best course condition at the Elkhorn, thanks to the professional maintenance crew that worked hard to keep the course pristine for a company tournament. We were the last lucky group just a couple of holes ahead of them. Fairways were perfect, ponds were clean and no duck refuses on the greens that are fast and, for the first time, they set the holes on the right places for me, not tricky or ‘nasty’ places. Thanks to the course management. There were good choices of drinks and snacks. And again, I got 3 birdies! Thanks Elkhorn and the GolfNow, keep up your good work.

You couldn’t ask for a nicer day for a round of golf. Apparently everyone else thought so too! It was slow to start due to the couple in front of us who decided to wait for the group in front of them to finish putting and then walking off the green before this couple teed off! By the way they were seniors!!! Course was very good conditions! I highly recommend golfers play this course!

Playing condition is superb with perfect weather, helpful staff and the considerate players. I wouldn’t hesitate vote this course, at least for me, The Golf Course of 2023 in San Joaquin/ Delta Valley area. Reasons. 1. Most enjoyable. 2. Most helpful (probably The only helpful staff who cares about the players in the area). 3. Relatively well-maintained course. 4. Distance to the course and, easy to play for us, seniors. ( I would hesitate recommend this course who hits lower than 72’s because they will not only be frustrated but also disruptive to other players.)

As in any case, there are some areas for improvement that’ll help the playing more enjoyable.

1. Better management of watering. 2. Repair some d cart path potholes in fairways and the rough. 3. Improve the F&B service/dining. 4. Clean the restrooms and stock up the supplies. 4. Better directions for tee boxes, especially for later holes. 5. Yardage signs.

The Elkhorn is becoming our home course, beating the courses that we have been members for years in Northern California for years.

Let’s keep the Elkhorn as The Best Golf Course in San Joaquin.

The place is easily accessible and the price is more than reasonable. Go alone or with a group.

Well they say, first impressions are important. Here, it was good. It looked liked they’ve cleared some trees along some of the fairways and we’re doing some maintenance on one of the greens (had to use temp green). Aesthetically, cleaning out the water would make this more visually appealing. I’d definitely play here again.

Took advantage of low price. But found out price was low because of Maintenance happening to greens.

Fun course to play and also have a meal also. My only I guess improvement on the course is water inside the ball washing stations out on the course. Other than that I absolutely love playing this golf course. Definitely a fun course and I believe course management & ball placement is a premium. Get out and play Elkorn 👍🏽. And a big thank you to the hardworking grounds crew & green maintenance crews , appreciate you 🏆

Perfect weather with the temperature in mid70’s and the best pace of the play made our game enjoyable. The friendly pro shop staff was quite considerate and efficient in making the necessary adjustments when we walked into the pro shop without much time to spare. We were a minute late for our tee time because I fell asleep while waiting our tee time. Due to miscalculation of the expected travel time from our home to the course, we got there earlier and instead of trying to play early, I decided to take a short nap but overslept.

The greens had some residual sand and the holes from last week’s aeration and very slow. The fairways were cleaned, sand bunkers needed more sand. The pace of the play was excellent. We finished the game in just shy of 3 hours.

My only real complaint is that the greens have been punched and sanded within the last week. There was no notification on either GolfNow or the courses website. No notification from pro shop during check in. The course is in good shape has a nice layout, but the greens were bad, bumpy and slow
