Cherry Hills Golf Course

The course wasn't the greatest, but in all fairness, the weather had been very wet over the last few days. It wasn't a great course, but perfect for a beginner. I played 18 holes in just under three hours, so it went pretty quickly. I played this round with an online discount for less than $12, now that's better than dropping $10 for a couple of buckets at any range.

I would recommend this for any beginner who wants to play by themselves for a cheap round.

Course was dried up and mostly dirt. Greens weren't terrible for December and played fast. Tee boxes were in decent shape. I wouldn't mind playing here again if it was a bit cheaper. Still had fun.

Course, driving range etc...all acceptable. Lots of mercy on the holes for golfers "working on their game". Staff at the counter when getting cart assignment eloquence and customer service non existent. Staff is short tempered, rude and needs training. In short the young girl they post at the counter around noon could care less about the customer's experience. Been in management my entire life and would open the position immediately...

New to the area and the course is close to home, so we gave it a try.

Before I start just so you know, I play a lot in Palm Springs(in the summer) and Sierra Lakes was the previous home course. Driving race is mostly dirt, but where you hit from is grass, not mats, so thats a good thing. Staff was great! Tee boxes were in good shape, fairways were spotty, but it is California and just finished up summer so it wasn't Sierra Lakes, but if you were in the fairway is was mostly grass. If your off the fairway your screwed, dirt and weeds, kinda like desert golf. Greens were average, fix your ball marks people!!!

Price was right and its close, so I'll be back.

I don't think enough effort is put in to keep the course in decent condition. Example: On the 2nd hole there must be some kind of water leak about 170-190 yds off the tee (center of fairway). Nothing is done. On hole 17, improve the ground between the dry lake and the green.

This is about our our six'd time that my threesome played the course. I drive from San Diego County (Esc) and the others from Temecula. We enjoy the course and will continue to play as much as possible. It could be a little tough at times but we enjoy the challenge. Greens and fairways have improved tremendously. Sand left or right of fairway...tough. Just keep it in the fairway! The Lady that checks us in....very Professional at her job. Thanks go out the Her!

The fairways where long and needed to be mowed. Greens where in fairly good shape.

Wow this course really sucked. We get there and the employees makeup was more important than the customer. If you like hitting off weeds than that a perfect place. This was the worst course ever not worth 16 dollars

Play quite a bit last minute on golf now they always have something cheap. Tee to green is steadily improving but below average and the cancer on a lot of the greens Is on the mend?

Course is a good test of golf. Layout and difficulty are good. Must play fairly good golf to score well on this course. Well priced for the condition of the course. Would help to have a few more selections of snacks.

It would not be difficult to improve the course. A little more watering (since recycled water is used), a little better care of the boundaries. Would not be difficult to keep the tee area well manicured.

Should hire one maintenance person just to care for the course. Staff very friendly.

Great price for the course. If you need practice before spending your hard earned money try this course.

this is the worst golf course I have ever plsyed. It was nothing but dirt and cow pastures. The ball washers either had no towels or had no water. No snack bar. I'll never play here again.

This course is hardly worth typing the review, It all starts with the Lady running the clubhouse who doesn't greet her guests . Unless you have played here before you will not know the holes layout because cards don't display them and only a few holes have them either. The driving range is between 1st and 9th holes so be prepared for incoming balls because the netting is only as high as 8'. The greens are either damp clay or powder sand, can say i have ever played a course that my rolling ball has left a dust cloud behind it before. So I wasn't expecting great views knowing before hand where I was going but the homes that are on the golf course are border line condemning .... So anyways this course is great for the community that lives there and anyone from outside that likes a nice playable course with great staff , great views and thinks they are getting a great deal on pricing , THINK AGAIN!!!!!!

Course in bad shape, about 35% of fairways are or have any grass on them, greens are a bumpy joke. If your looking for a place to hit some drives off the tee and maybe practice hitting shots from poor lies you have it here. What your paying for is a cart to drive you around what is more or less some fields to hit and go find your ball, you will get nothing out of the putting as getting putt in the hole is miracle. That said the layout is not bad, years ago we played here when the course was is moderate shape, now it is just as I have said a place to rent a cart with some fields to play in...Oh I guess you could make a game out of hitting the greens (hard to call them that, lets say the part of the field with the flag stick in it).

The fairways are a little hard but I see that as a plus cuz my drives 'ran' forever! Overall it's a fun course, I'll diffidently come back again. You cannot beat it for the price!

Why did I waste my time? GolfNow shows a nice club house photo on the site. Must have been taken many years ago. With that being said, we checked in with no problems. The cart was almost new that was a plus, considering it did not have even a partial windshield. No1 tee box had bare spots no problem as California has a very bad drought. We make it to first green and man what a mess. It's not a green. It's a mixture of different weed grasses fighting to take over a area that was a green many years ago. Every green was like this. Putting was a joke; aim toward the hole and hope you get close. Save your cash and stay home. Fairways were dirt with very little grass. So very sad.

The course was in decent shape. The fairways were very short and hard which provided 20 yards of roll. Rough areas were mostly dirt with very little vegetation on them, easy to hit off of. Greens were soft to land on and medium to slow speed. The greens needed to be swept off, some debris on them. Hot food or sandwiches would be nice at the clubhouse. The price was right for knocking the ball around

For $16 on a Sunday, you can't beat it. No its not Pebble Beach, its freakin $16. We play here once a month.
