Sunnyvale Municipal Golf Course

Walkable but a bit long with the highway crossover divot marks rarely repaired but us gentlemen can help with that. Course is in fine condition, ifbplayers continue to fix their issues.

I had a great time out at Sunnyvale GC was well managed and well layed out

The condition of the fairways was so poor that it was defeating. Tons of large clumps, holes and thin or mostly missing grass on the fairways made the course challenging to play and contributed to the huge backup on every hole. 4 hours to play should be adequate but due to the 45 minute late start, we were only able to get 13 holes in. Several golfers just gave up. We will not return any time soon!

The weather is still good and the course is still firm. I wish I my game was a little better but its still fun out there.

The staff demanded the carts be in by 5pm when it wasn’t dark until 530. The staff definitely put them selves before the the paying customers.

This course is in horrible condition...the worst condition I have ever seen it in and I’ve been playing here for the 20 years. First time I’ve played here in 8 months.

A little pricey for the course condition. Greens are okay. Tee boxes are mostly bad. Fairways are mostly bad and wet. Layouts are fine.

Course speed of play was ridiculous, some holes took 30 minutes. No Marshall’s to be found to regulate pace of play, 3 hours in was only on the 8th hole. Left but when leaving went to check if we can get a rain check and the worker said yea only if you twist your ankle on the first tee..

Course is in terrible condition, especially the fairways. Too many brown spots & weeds. At least greens are ok. I guess the course fees are good, because there are a lot of people playing it. Too bad they don't put some of that money into the course.

Staff at check in act rushed and impatient.

No food, no bar only over priced water/soda is available on site

You have to have all carts back to club house 1hr before sunset and they will lock you in the facility 15min before dark

Sunnyvale is a good course which is moderately difficult. The course was not in good condition as the greens were aerated the week before. Pace of play was a bit slow.

Good: played in about 4 hours on a Sunday. That's it for the Good.

Not good: Zero food or beverage available. That's just sad and pathetic and demonstrates total lack of concern for the customers. Not even a beverage cart or anything.

Bad: Course conditions are AWFUL. Yes I know it's a muni. Crabgrass everywhere. Dead spots right next to swampy, overwatered muck holes. Really ridiculous. Again, I get that it is a municipal track, but there is very little effort by anyone to do anything other than sell $72 weekend tee times. Los Lagos and SJ Muni are a far better value.

The fairways are still fast but the greens were being aerated so the putting was rough. Still the pace of play was good so it was nice to get in a rhythm. Can’t wait for things to get back to normal
