Interlocken Golf Club - Sunshine/Vista
About
The Sunshine/Vista Course at the Interlocken Golf Club is one of three courses offered at the facility. The courses were designed by a team of famous golfers, David Graham who was a U.S. Open Champion in 1981 and Gary Parks. They are all nine-hole courses that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The mountainous terrain creates dramatic elevation changes. Interlocken Golf Club's greens are difficult to read and feature lots of undulation. There are also water hazards and bunkers that come into play. The beautiful scenery of the course allows for beautiful views and sometimes golfers can even see a fox or deer roaming the golf course.

No drinking water in 90+ temps!!
Pretty nice course, especially with the Golf Now discounted greens fees. Not sure I'd pay $120 to play but for $60 it's pretty good. My biggest complaint after playing this course twice this summer is that they don't have any water on the course (except for a couple of the early holes, which doesn't make sense) and the cart girls seem pretty scarce.
second cut grass was brutale 3 plus in. ball location difficult which adds time and shots. I guess if you hit nothing but fairways your good to go.
good time. gps on carts are lousy. kept hitting my already bad knee on gps which is located on steering column. it only gives distance front, middle, back of green. did not like this gps system. all else is good
Great course but not for rack rate.
Very well maintained but not "pristine". Fairways consistent on height and quality, as well as putting surfaces - both well kept, and greens consistent holding and rolling true. Demanding shot placement and distance control with some exciting carries. However, their rack rate is around $125 and it's not in that class given the competition within same driving distance - we paid $63 ea., and $75 +/- would be about maximum for the experience.
OVERPRICED
I paid just $55 and feel like I overpaid. The course is OK the best part is the views. I can't imagine how disappointed i would have been if I paid the retail $130.
impression would have been better without top dressing and 50 mph winds
Has the potential to be great but greens were slow and top dressed - bad timing. Play was affected by 50 mph + winds from a passing front.
The views are spectacular from Vista, and the course was in great condition.
This course has three nines, all of which are somewhat different, but they all feature significant elevation changes. Vista has spectacular views and is perhaps the most difficult. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition, with the exception of a few well-marked ground-under-repair areas. I especially appreciated the practice facility with free balls and super friendly staff .
Greens inconsistent
Course was good but had quite a bit of winter kill. Greens inconsistent as some were slow, others fast which made it difficult to putt if you were the first putter.
Great Views
This course was great. Every hole was challenging. The only problem we had was they had just cut the rough really short and left a ton of clippings. Other than that it was perfect. Definetly will be back.
great for the discounted price.
The first 9 was immaculate...summer 9? The second was ok. Not as challenging and some brown on the greens. Great staff. Got a great discount on the tee time so it was definitely worth it!
Played Eldorato and Vista 9's Nice Layout
1st Time to the course and it needed some loving attention after a holiday weekend... greens were bumpy, rough was extremely long, the grass was seeding out in second cut and in places laying over on itself. If you dropped a ball 6' off the tee box you could lose sight of it. Due to this speed of play was effected because of backups from miss hits. I liked the layout and will give it another shot, just under regular circumstances.
Great day, the course played tough as we had never played the Sunshine 9 before and you have a few blind shots.
The course has taken advantage of our recent rain, it is very green and the rough is rough, life in 5-7" by just missing the fairway. The greens were pretty slow compared to normal conditions, and the course still has winter kill spots in some fairways, the reason for my course condition rating. We had a great day at a great price, great beverage service, overall it was a great, tough, round.
Greens pretty chewed up
Staff friendly, just the course wasn't balanced with the high end service. Greens sandy, very inconsistent. Long play, looked liked beginners on the course, nobody came around to check play speed.
Great course even with aeration schedule
The course was schedule for aeration. Only a few greens had been aerated when we played but it didn't take away from the quality of the course. The staff was incredibly nice and efficient.
Worth the experience
I have heard about the Omni course and have wanted to play it for several years. The course was in decent early season shape and the views in many areas are exceptional. The elevation changes on the course made the course more challenging and rewarding. Having received a half price deal made the experience worthwhile. I would not return at the full price. Overall there are several other courses in the region with similar features at a better value.
Airation + gravel on green.
Challenging (but interesting) course that is made more difficult with gravel covered and airated greens.
Understand that this has to be done, would perfer a website update discussing green condititions prior to booking T-time.
there are a couple of holes that has great views of colorado dont pass up
the staff there is super friendly and for that reason alone i will come back. i think as far as price goes there a little high but the course is in great shape and the staff 2 thumbs up
This course needs a few customer service improvements
The course itself is proabably fair to good for play, however if paying full price the value is not there. Way too much front end show and missing on the small customer service items. Be ready when you pull in to the lot as you will get practically mugged for your clubs - getting in your vehicle without even asking. No sand or water on the carts, saw a cart girl one time and it was in the first four holes. GPS system reminds you of bad caller id and is no better than a phone app. All in all, if you can get a super discount it's worth playing to check out the views and a new track. If not, there are way better values on the north side of town.
