The Ocean Course is one of two championship courses at Kona Country Club. As its name implies, this course has an oceanfront location with views of the surrounding mountains that are home to its sister course, the Mountain Course. The Ocean Course provides an easier, but no less enjoyable round than its sibling. The layout features wide-open fairways and numerous strategically placed sand bunkers. The turquoise waters and black lava outcroppings provide natural hazards. The signature holes are the third and 12th, but one of the most memorable is the 13th hole where during November through March, you can catch a glimpse of a humpback whale. While both Kona C.C. golf courses provide a variety of challenges, the Ocean Course is a gentle, more player-friendly option that still features the same stunning views as the Mountain Course.

Nice course with beautiful scenery. Pace of play was right at 4 hours but course was pretty packed. Condition of course was great considering that the day before it rained all day. It has a few holes that were fit in to what ground they had to work with . Enjoyable day with great weather.

Vacation Golf

Wonderful round of golf.

The course is in great shape and was very enjoyable to play. I would suggest that the starter, cart guys and pro shop would strongly encourage players to repair ball marks on greens. The greens were much faster than the practice greens and I allowed for more break than necessary. All part of getting to know the nuances of a course. I look forward to playing Kona Coast C.C. again.

Fabulous course..,.needs a better restaurant

This course is beautiful, and in perfect condition. We had an amazing round, and loved every hole. Pro shop staff, Marshall and bar staff were all super friendly. The restaurant however, is a HUGE disappointment. It has no class, cheap tables and chairs, no atmosphere, closes early, which was not what we expected of such a beautiful course.

The course was in great condition

Have played here on numerous occasions. Staff was friendly and pace of play was good, about 4 hrs 20 min. Never get tired of the views especially on holes 3, 12, and 13 which run parallel with the ocean. Also nice having the beverage cart.
