Kona Country Club

Great staff and pace of play. Fun layout with some Ocean views and a rolling hills layout which made for some difficult approaches to the greens. The greens were in good shape considering they only been punched just a week before. A lot of slope/movement on the greens making putting difficult.

The fairway widths are generous, though punitive if miss by much. An all around fun course to play.

Golf now advertised 2 hot deals times Thursday Friday and Saturday.. I was unable to book any of these. Ended up costing me about $30 extra.

Online stated greens areation. It had been a month since the greens were punched. Greens rolled great, fairways were great also. Pace of play was great also. Would definitely recommend

Fun resort court, I should have played better but couldn’t figure out the greens. Mostly slower than expected.

This was our 2nd time playing Kona Country Club; after our 1st time, we decided if we had time for only one round, it would be here. The layout is a lot of fun, and the views are just spectacular. The course was in good shape for this time of year, and very playable, while also being challenging. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The value of the golf was great, with the rates we got on GolfNow.

A Little Bit Of A Challenge Always. Best Advice I Can Offer Put Your Tee Shot In The Fairway

We arrived in Kona Hawaii on October 1st following work at the President's Cup in Canada.

We played KONA COUNTRY CLUB in KONA HI this morning Oct 3rd. The course conditions were ABYSMAL! Both the fairways and greens were as bad as it gets!

Following our round we asked an assistant pro what was going on with the course’s poor condition. Rather than apologize for the DISMAL course conditions he gave us “ATTITUDE”. Really!? … never again Kona Country Club. There are too many other options around KONA.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

When I received my confirmation email, I was warned that aerification would occur on October 3rd - 16th. No mention that the greens were aerified just a day or two prior to my play on Sept. 13th. I feel the course did not properly notify teeoff.com of the early aerification. Had I known, I would have chosen another course to play. We were paired with a single, living locally, and thought the $44.00 rate he paid was a great deal. We would have thought so too, given the conditions of the greens during our play. Not worth the 15% off the deal time rate of $107.00. Also I reported to the starter that the GPS system wouldn't turn on prior to heading to the 1st tee. He misinformed me that it would turn on at the first hole. That never happened. I would only recommend this course if you call in advance before booking a round that there is no maintenance occuring either before or during your round of golf, as the information provided by teeoff.com was totally inaccurate for this golf course.

I’m a golfer. I play 4-8 times per month. This was the second time I played this course this week. Pace of play was atrocious as the starter did not combine tee times and let singles go out between twosomes and threesomes with foursomes out as well. Had they managed the tee times it would’ve been fine. They failed and everyone was impacted. Multiple groups left the course early. I dropped as a single where they was a huge gap and played some holes multiple times but left after playing nine.

Awesome views, course was in decent shape with a great bar/ restaurant. We will play again.

Wonderful views. Excellent shape of golf course and really enjoyed the on course spotters! The goats! Once you get an understanding of how the ball acts at sea level you just can’t help but enjoy your round and the views. Friendly staff also. Very attentive to the needs of the players. We rented clubs and they were top notch.

Visiting the Big Island for a month. I decided to play golf last minute and found this hot deal. The course is in very good condition with several ocean view holes. Definitely would play this course again especially with a hot deal bringing the price below $75.
