The Ocean Course is one of two championship courses at Kona Country Club. As its name implies, this course has an oceanfront location with views of the surrounding mountains that are home to its sister course, the Mountain Course. The Ocean Course provides an easier, but no less enjoyable round than its sibling. The layout features wide-open fairways and numerous strategically placed sand bunkers. The turquoise waters and black lava outcroppings provide natural hazards. The signature holes are the third and 12th, but one of the most memorable is the 13th hole where during November through March, you can catch a glimpse of a humpback whale. While both Kona C.C. golf courses provide a variety of challenges, the Ocean Course is a gentle, more player-friendly option that still features the same stunning views as the Mountain Course.

Overall great round.

Course in good condition with few burn out spots in fairways. Greens in good shape and would hold a well hit approach shot. Played round just under 4 hours. Friendly staff. Ready to play again.

Just another day in paradise

I think this is my favorite course in all the Hawaiian islands. It has spectacular views of the ocean and the greens were absolutely perfect.

Pretty course

The course was beautiful and Staff very friendly and helpful The downside was slow place pace of play, due to 2 tournaments starting in the morning and no carts available, delaying our start time. Our cart died on hole 9 and they only had one spare cart with a partial charge. Back 9 played much faster and we wound up finishing in under 5 hours.

Course and staff were great. The only issue is the driving range is limited ball flight and no drivers are allowed. Other than that it’s a great place to play. Wish the restaurant was open for breakfast daily

Great course if you can get a discount price through Golf Now or there website with dynamic pricing. Carts are great with GPS, course layout and conditions are good. Only downside was course fairways a little dry and showing signs of burning up. Other than that BEST course in area, only one we golf at.🏌‍♂️🏌‍♀️🍻

Not worth he money

Course was in decent shape but nothing amazing. Our cart had more patches on the seat than seat. No ice in the cooler and the cart girl’s very limited selection looked like she had just been looted in a riot. The course has some nice holes but i would pay the extra to go to other courses that have better facilities and nicer course layout.
