About
Formerly a cornfield, Robert Trent Jones Jr. utilized the natural area and the import of over 600,000 cubic yards of dirt to create the challenging Ute Creek Golf Course. The championship course has a traditional links-style layout that is said to challenge even the most avid of golfers. The public, 18-hole golf course offers 7,167 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. It features several water hazards, especially on the back nine holes, with five lakes situated on the course and two streams that wind through it. Ute Creek Golf Course's well-bunkered greens and undulating, multi-level fairways provide more interesting elements to the game.

Tough pace
I love this course. The pace of play is exhaustingly slow. Idk if they need more marshals on the weekends or the marshals need to be stricter on tightening up pace but dang, it’s tough. I’d say more marshals on weekends especially in the summer that are willing to play time cop.
Nice course, great staff. I wish they would required collared shirts. Some people are abusing the dress code

Solid Course
Have played this course maybe 15-20 times over the years. Great course layout. Greens were quick but not too quick - rolled nice. Some fairway areas seemed over-watered and thus were wet. Fairways are wide but plenty of fairway bunkers and around the green to provide challenge. Love the course. Highly recommend.

Solid Public Course
Well maintained -- not too hard, not too easy -- pace of play was emphasized and we finished in a little less than 4.5 hours

Great course
Fun open layout. Easy to recover from bad shots without too much penalty.
Issues...
the sprinkler head yardage markers need replacing (not everyone use range finders)
The sand needs improvement. Much of it is so hard just an inch or so down it is hard to get under the ball with any consistency. Very much luck of where in a bunker or which bunker you land in. The answer of course is don't go i the bunkers but...

Great value
Friendly course. Holes play with a chnce to recover.
Greems are firm. Lefr few pitch marks so be prepared to roll on approach.
Great value for money. Played 18 with cart for $40

Great Experience
Being older we played from the forward tees (5500 yds.) and had a great time. There are 5 sets of tees that make the course adjustable to your game, from old and short (like me) to long and brutal.
No matter what tees you choose the fairways were generous in width and there was nothing really tricky about the course. There are some greens that are on the smaller side but generally, they are well proportioned to the length of the hole.
All in all the course made golf fun like it's supposed to be and I had fun in spades!

Great day of golf
We had a wonderful day of golf at Ute Creek. We were paired with a very nice couple. The gentleman was an excellent golfer. Pace of play was perfect. Course was in great shape. Some of the holes had been redesigned. It was a pleasant surprise. Overall, with great weather, playing good golf, meeting new friends, couldn’t get any better.

Slow day
The course wasn’t overly busy yet we had to wait on every shot. The Marshall said there was a ladies league that played 9 holes earlier and they were holding up play. Afterwards they were gone and the group in front of us had 1 speed, slow. They need to take up bowling. They left clubs on some holes and didn’t replace or fill divots. They could have let us through but they were obviously going about their round like they owned the course. 5hrs is too long for 18 holes. And the bunkers were wet, and they have a lot of them, so they don’t need to water them, they won’t grow anymore. And I think the last time I was there a few months ago, they had just sanded the greens, so I don’t know why they needed to do it again so soon.
Overall, I was playing golf so it was better than working.

70+ yrs. old from the red tees
Being older golfers, we played the forward tees and found the course wonderfully playable! The fairways were wide and had grass that allowed wedges as well as woods good lies. Even the generous bunkering was well maintained. If you’re a bomber you’ll also find the course playable and fun! Highly recommend it!
