About
Formerly a cornfield, Robert Trent Jones Jr. utilized the natural area and the import of over 600,000 cubic yards of dirt to create the challenging Ute Creek Golf Course. The championship course has a traditional links-style layout that is said to challenge even the most avid of golfers. The public, 18-hole golf course offers 7,167 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. It features several water hazards, especially on the back nine holes, with five lakes situated on the course and two streams that wind through it. Ute Creek Golf Course's well-bunkered greens and undulating, multi-level fairways provide more interesting elements to the game.

Best Bang for the Buck
I travel a lot and I have to say this is the Best $20.00 golf course I've ever played. From the great customer service ( Thanks Wayne ) to the conditions on the golf course. Slow down a couple of holes then open back up.
Always a pleasure
I am from Boulder and play this course once, if not twice a month. It is always staffed with great people and the course is always in great conditions. Even when it is raining, the course remains playable from my many experiences. Although close to Flatirons, this course is much more challenging and a much better layout, and well worth the extra 20 minute drive considering it is also much cheaper at the right times.

Great Value
The course was very crowded. They even ran out of carts! When we got there they said that we would be starting about 15 minutes late. Fortunately, by the time our tee time rolled around, we teed off close to our original tee time. The course took about 5 hours to complete. We did see the group ahead of us retrieving balls from a lake. At this point I do not know if this was because they were waiting for the next hole or they had no regard for the pace of play. Unfortunately, a Marshall did not appear until the 17th hole where we were told to slow down since there was a backup on hole 18. I did however, get to explain the VIP program for Golf Now to our other twosome. I believe in this program and highlighted the benefits it gives to its members.
Luck of the Draw
The course was in very good condition, greens smooth and true. I would normally not play on a Friday afternoon because it tends to be very busy, and it was.
I was paired with three higher handicap players and a small child.... Not ideal, but the people were very nice and kept pace with the group ahead. Overall the pace of play was not very good, waiting on most shots.

Tough but fun
They sure know where to place the bunkers. There were unforgiving par 3s, not much room for error. Some very long holes, but really nothing too difficult about the course besides the bunkers are never ending. Wide open fairways are a plus and greens we're in stellar condition.

A grest day
We have only played Ute Creek twice, but I know we will seek this course out more often when we visit CO. The course is beautifully laid out and is in great condition. Typical of a Robert Trent Jones course, sand traps are all over. What a fun day we had!

Challenging course, good deal, good conditions
This was our 2nd time at Ute Creek. The weather turned out far better than the forecast predicted. For March, it was nearly perfect, with some wind. The staff was very friendly. They have a yardage book /course guide which is nice. The grass seems to be coming out of its winter dormancy. The recent aeration of the greens seems to be healing pretty well. Note, #5's fairway abuts the driving range, and leaving a ball up in the wind on your tee shot may allow it to drift right into the range; stay left. Note, cutting the corner on #11 into the wind is definitely in the risk category. No reward today. The day's biggest treat was a 1st ace on #14, ~160y to an elevated green with a right-to-left wind. Too bad we couldn't see it go into the hole!
