About
Located in Longmont, the nine-hole, municipal Sunset Golf Course is a great, affordable option for beginners and families. Opened in 1924, it is one of Colorado's oldest golf courses. Although experienced golfers may not find it challenging enough, the course provides an excellent spot to practice your short game and it is definitely one of the most scenic courses in the area with beautiful views of Long's Peak. The par-68 course covers 5,966 yards from its 18-hole longest tees. The terrain of Sunset Golf Course is quite hilly and the tree-lined fairways are very narrow. No water hazards come into play but the course is well-bunkered. The signature hole is the par-4 fourth hole.

Gem found
Three of us journeyed an hour to get here after I read the reviews. Lots of my buddies had never heard of this course but they have heard of it now from me. Extremely friendly staff, beautiful views from the odd numbered tee boxes, and course in great shape. Well worth the hour travel time. Will be back.

Great Muni Course
A jewel of a 9-hole city course. I recommend early tee times, as it gets crowded! Beautifully manicured and maintained. Staff is always easy going, and I love this place for an early morning walking round.

Great course with spectacular views
The four of us are visiting from Texas and really enjoyed this beautiful little nine hole course. There were so many photo ops, it was hard to focus on golf. There were a few challenging holes, which made it a lot of fun. Hope to play here again when we come back in 4 or 5 weeks.

Great Fun Course

Old Style Course
This course is a nice 9 hole course, exhibiting long straight fairways lined by old trees. Conditions were good for early spring with neatly mowed fairways and very smooth greens.
Staff is always friendly; today especially so, as I lost a head over early in the round and upon finishing the round, it was already turned in at the check-in desk.

My Favorite!!!
All was going perfectly...then, while on the 7th Hole, the Horn Blew...Thunder & Lightning nearby, so did not get to finish 9 holes. Bummer!!!
