Located in Longmont, the nine-hole, municipal Sunset Golf Course is a great, affordable option for beginners and families. Opened in 1924, it is one of Colorado's oldest golf courses. Although experienced golfers may not find it challenging enough, the course provides an excellent spot to practice your short game and it is definitely one of the most scenic courses in the area with beautiful views of Long's Peak. The par-68 course covers 5,966 yards from its 18-hole longest tees. The terrain of Sunset Golf Course is quite hilly and the tree-lined fairways are very narrow. No water hazards come into play but the course is well-bunkered. The signature hole is the par-4 fourth hole.

Old Style Course
This course is a nice 9 hole course, exhibiting long straight fairways lined by old trees. Conditions were good for early spring with neatly mowed fairways and very smooth greens.
Staff is always friendly; today especially so, as I lost a head over early in the round and upon finishing the round, it was already turned in at the check-in desk.

My Favorite!!!
All was going perfectly...then, while on the 7th Hole, the Horn Blew...Thunder & Lightning nearby, so did not get to finish 9 holes. Bummer!!!

A fun nine hole course.
A fun course on a small hill. There's a community pool there if you need to cool off after your round.

Very mellow round. the course was not very crowded

Good place for a relaxing round.
Always a fun round here, if you enjoy a relaxed round of golf and scenic views this is it. Set on a hillside beautiful mountain views. The course is older so the trees are big and the grass is thick. Slope for difficulty and the greens never roll the way you think they do.
If you are looking for a fast pace, look elsewhere. Not always slow, but most of the time it's not fast.

OLD SCHOOL CHALLENGING
Yardage is short, but as most old school coursers, course management is needed to score well. fairways and greens are awesome for the price of play.

A nice course at a Hot Deal rate
This course was a fine course to play, but we happened to play early in the season and the greens had just been aerated. Despite the less than optimal geeens, I was able to sink some fairly long putts with break to them.

Great Course
Sunset is a wonderful course hidden away in plain site. The staff and fellow golfers are very personable that adds to the welcoming feel of this little golfers getaway.
