Sunset Golf Course
About
Located in Longmont, the nine-hole, municipal Sunset Golf Course is a great, affordable option for beginners and families. Opened in 1924, it is one of Colorado's oldest golf courses. Although experienced golfers may not find it challenging enough, the course provides an excellent spot to practice your short game and it is definitely one of the most scenic courses in the area with beautiful views of Long's Peak. The par-68 course covers 5,966 yards from its 18-hole longest tees. The terrain of Sunset Golf Course is quite hilly and the tree-lined fairways are very narrow. No water hazards come into play but the course is well-bunkered. The signature hole is the par-4 fourth hole.

Looks easy, but...
Friendly course with wide fairways, great views from the rolling hills, and very few hazards. Don't expect a record score, though, because the greens are fast, and the grass on the fringes is very thick. Only nine holes; play twice for 18.
very good
most holes are generally straight. Very nice coarse maintenance good greens. Perfect for a quick fun 2 hr. after work coarse.
the course was in good shape
I took my son to play 9 holes, staff was cordial, course was in great shape, but the other golfers were very pushy. We ended up with 2 other golfers asking to play along with us because they didn't want to wait, even though it made no difference since a group of 4 ahead of us was playing slowly. Not thrilled with the experiance, will not be going back any time soon.
Cheap- real friendly staff there.
Hilly, short- tricky greens. But a great value. The staff there are vey nice people.
Tight fairways, great views
Beautiful, almost 90 year old course, nestled in the middle of Longmont.
Tall tree-lined fairways and adjacent streets require straight drives for par. No water. Little sand. Par 34, no par fives. 5966 yards from the blues. Lots of leaves yesterday.
They have a practice green, and a chipping area, but no driving range.
One of the coolest 9 hole courses ever played. Holes have great personality.
A lot of mature trees. Most holes are either up or down. A few doglegs. Long par 3's from the tips. Not one things to complain about except the condition of the no. 1 green. But, I think it is because it doesn't get much sun and is in the shade most of the time. Otherwise a great course and highly recommend. As I said, one of the coolest 9 hole courses I've ever played on.
