About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Poorly maintained
This is a coarse that used to be a great coarse. It is now poorly maintained and just average. The current administration doesn't seem very interested in maintaining the coarse or improving it.Sadly a great coarse now is just average at best.
Golf course
Course in poor condition. Greens very poor and rough. Carts cost very high and no GPS. Very disappointed!
Not fair for ladies
This course has beautiful views but is not fair for the ladies. I am a pretty decent golfer and still had no chance getting on in two. On most holes I was teeing off 10-20 yard up from my husband who is a 10 handicap. I will not play here again until they provide tees that are lady-friendly.
The course was in great shape, except the greens were recently aerated, but I knew that. My only comment is that if the course is going to the the pace of play clocks that show your start time, the clocks should be synced. With the scattering of times, it is hard to track your pace of play.
Highland Hills
The course was in great shape my only complaint which is not their fault greens were still recovering after fall aeration. So a little bumpy and very slow
The course is awesome!
The pace of play was painfully slow! 5 hours plus!
We called the pro shop to send out a Marshall to move things along and nothing happened.
We were not able to finish our round because the pace of place was so bad and they didn't do anything about it.
Very disappointing!
Early tee time
Had a 7:30 tee time, wasn’t aware course didn’t open till 7 so we were unable to by a bucket and warm up. Other than that, good experience and will play again, just a later start.
