Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills - Gold Course
About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Golfer Reviews
They need course Marshall’s
Course is decent. Good shape. Problem literally is the pace of play. Greens fees are lower than average I think, so brings out people who most likely shouldn’t be on the course or don’t understand etiquette of pick you ball up after 10 strokes. There are no actual Marshall’s on the course, just the occasional 16 year old that looks to work at the cart barn on the course. I assume he’s telling people to speed up, but unknown. I was a bad golfer long ago too, but I knew to keep. I also knew a golf lesson to my girlfriend or boyfriend didn’t happen on the actual course. I’d rather see my fees go up 10 bucks, see Marshall’s and not wait 5 minutes on every shot.
Good course
Good course. Tired of sharing carts with strangers. Charging $20 per butt and not allowing solo riders is silly.
Nice Course!
Wifey and I played here while in Denver. The course was very well kept. We played about a week after they aerated the greens, but they were well maintained, just slower than they would be otherwise. Good value for the money!
Greens uncut,
Happy the course was open after some rain. But uncut greens, likely for 2 days straight made the course no fun. They were running really slow, like 3-4 on the Stimp Meter. Yuk.
5 hour and 14 min round! Awful, you should be ashamed!
Put a marshal on the course!!!!
Your computer is irritating!!! We get a message to speed up every hole and we're waiting to hit due to the slow 4some in front of us!!! Poor management!! I do not recommend your course.
Hyland Hills Gold Course is the best value in Colorado!
This is an entertaining and challenging course. It is in terrific shape. The greens are challenging but fair and roll smoothly. The cost to play is very reasonable and the clubhouse is beautiful.
We had very little waiting during the round and finished up in under 4 1/2 hours - a very enjoyable day!
The pace was so bad
We were backed up in every hole, so we finally had to give up last two holes. Took us 5 1/2 hours to finish 16 holes.
