About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Best course
I have payed at many courses and this ranks as one of the highest. This includes Pelican Lakes, Broadlands, National Golf Course, and Raindance.
Pace of Play needs some work
It took us 4 hours and 40 minutes to complete the round. The GPS system tells us the pace of play but they should have some player assistants to manage it. Otherwise everything was great and this course is a great value!
The immediate rough by the fairways seemed really thick.
Great course great bargain!
I’ve played her multiple times over the years and it doesn’t disappoint. The only gripe I have is the turkey and cheddar sandwich I had at the turn was absolutely garbage…so bad I couldn’t eat it. Stale bread with one slice of turkey and one slice of cheese. But, I can’t complain about the course. It’s a great track and in great condition.

Golf cart
Golf cart did not have the GPS tablet attached. Didn't notice it was missing until we were down the 1st fairway. Because of the group behind us, it was too late to turn around to exchange carts. Lack of fairway markers required club selection to take a little more time.
