Great Golf Course - Needs a Ranger
Enjoyed this course and will go back. Course was moderately challenging and in great shape. Staff was kind and receptive. However, the only issue I had was pace of play. Having balls hit into us, when we were being held up by others, does not lead to a pleasant game of golf. And just when we had some breathing room, out of no where a two -some jumped in on the 10th and killed the pace yet again, leading to us barely finish by sunset. A ranger would add value to the pace of play at this course.
Front 9 closed
The front 9 was not open for play and I do not like the back 9 I did not play the back 9 a second time and left after 9. I wish this was posted online when I booked it. I would have passed.
Great Course
This course was great. A lot of long holes which made it challenging but still recommend. For the drought we are in the courses are kept up!
Also, all the staff was super friendly! Never been to a more friendlier course. Defiantly will come back and play again!
Good course but slow greens
I overall did like this course and would play here again. The greens were much slower then I anticipated so that threw me off with putting. I did have to stop playing at home 14 due to thunderstorms and the rain was not letting up. The holes were good challenging holes though for a beginner but nothing too intimidating. I did like this course overall.
Great shape, particularly given the drought we are in. Great service and good pace of play.
Great Challenging Course
First time at this course. Great variety of past 3s, 4s and 5s. Some up hill, down hill and water hazards. Overall the course was in very good condition considering the lack of rain. Some of the cart paths could use a little work but definitely not the worst of conditions. If your are a beginner get ready for a challenge.
Solid layout, needs upkeep
First time playing here and I will be back. It’s a course you need to play a handful of times to shoot a good score but man I love this layout. Bunkers were a bit firm for my taste. very hard to judge the proper weight. Tees and fairways could use some upkeep but overall the pro shop is standard, decent practice area all in all a very solid public course for the price.
Whitney Farms-CT
I hadn’t played here in 10 +years, and typically you see differences as nature tends to grow, courses mature, and greenskeeper manage based on budget. Not as crisp as I would have hoped and clearly some areas needed work. Overall the course was fair and enjoyable. I would do the drive from NY again.
