Cashier or pro, whatever he is, is not a nice person. No ranger so first tee was chaotic. some random group just jumped in front of us and they were dreadfully slow. Pace of play was horrendous all around. For the money, go somewhere else. This place is not worth it.
As for the clientele, so many wannabe golfers play here.
I‘Be played my last round here.
Nice course but a bit pricey.
Nice course but seems like it’s a bit too expensive. 55 for cart and 18 seems a bit high for a mid to lower tier course. Driving range is 15 for a large practice bucket and mats are pretty lumpy. Still a decent course just a bit pricey.
Good public course
Reasonable price, decent course. Not quite as good as other options in the area, but a good value
Lovely Track
Great day at Whitney Farms. I’ll definitely be back. It’s much easier to get a tee time here compared some courses just a little bit west and the course is just as lovely.
I saw some negative reviews recently but playing this course today was a total joy. I read some complaints about the greens but they are totally fine. YES there are some challenging undulations but THATS golf. The greens were a TAD on the slower size so that made the undulations break even more but greens were in great shape. Number 8 tee box in under repair so instead of a par 5 it is a short par 4.
Good variety of hole lengths. You may use a wedge and a wood (and irons) on the par 3s. There’s plenty of short par 4s to give you scoring chances but the par 5s are long, in particular, number 6 which is all uphill after the tee shot.
Range and practice green are right next to the first tee which is great. People are friendly, it’s not too expensive and a great golf course.
Course in very good shape
I’ve played this course for three years.
It’s in the best shape I’ve seen
Pace is a bit slow, but nothing to fret about. Greens are challenging and in good condition.
Decent course, but either course or GolfNow did not share information that back nine was closed
Day started off poorly because I found out at course that the back nine was closed(installing irrigation system) this was not shared on your website. The front nine was in good shape but when finished with that nine there was serious back-up and confusion and no starter, ranger to help organize the replay of front nine.
An attempt to get money back for the back nine was met with vigorous objection by staff than an offer of a nine hole rain check, which did me no good since I am not local to the area. I saw a threesome and asked if I could play with them(no help from staff) . I played but we had to wait on every hole; got pushed by group behind even though they could see there was a group ahead .
This sure wasn’t the nice day I had planned. Also, the cost was too high compared to other courses and especially given the fact that they delivered 9 not 18 holes of golf as a surprise.
Very nice course
Fairways, Greens , and rough all in very good shape
Pace of play very good
Nice group of people.
Great course
Course was in good shape. Tee boxes were hard and broke a couple tees just trying to tee up the ball. I would suggest a cart, alot of hills, not walker friendly. The greens were same speed all the way around. I will golf there again, but ill get a cart next time.
Okay at best
Not very challenging if you can keep the ball in play off the tee, but the greens are silly. Not so much that they are fast when putting, but even with high approach shots with lots of spin they don’t hold at all. I was hitting 15 yards short of the green by the end of the round with wedges which is just dumb. Basically hard as a rock. Also the bunkers have zero sand in them so you are basically playing off hard dirt. You also get penalized for hitting good shots. Balls run through fairways constantly even with very good shots. Just kind of gimmicky through and through. Better public options with sterling, great river, oak hills, etc.
Also, tons of maintenance going on as well. There was a 73 yard par 3 on the back.....
Fun day
Challenging course in good shape. Greens test your putting skills. None are easy but all are interesting
