Must play
Very nice course In a country setting. Five different tee boxes which is nice for all levels of players. Course is in very nice condition tee to green.
Course was in excellent condition as always. The greens were fast and true
Great Day in Putnam, CT
Greens running around an 8. Very smooth and true. Thick heavy rough. Majority of tee boxes were flat and manicured well. Assortment of tees for all levels. The back tees are a true test of golf.
A lack of expected customer service
Found the course and booked through Golfnow. Due to impending rain called to see if we (2 players) could get out early. Was told due to the nature of our discounted booking we couldn't-fair enough
We arrive and checked in -was basically given a receipt and told we were" all set" by the guy in the pro shop. No "welcome to the course" , ""if you want to use the range/the range is here/the first tee is there, by the way there is no starter", ... (had to ask the cart girl who told us we had to return to the golf shop for range tokens which my buddy did)
My friend asks him about the impending weather and gets a simple "I don't know" as a reply
We are typically private course golfers
Course conditions and layout were good. Not likely to return. Better experience at similarly priced courses

I like the course layout and conditions. challenging golf and some fun holes.
Greens were great. Few mud spots on fairways from all the rain. Should dry up nicely if the sun returns!

Beautiful course! A challenge to be sure but worth the effort. Great staff and pace first thing in the morning.

Challenging course, greens were fast small and contoured. I will be back to get my revenge soon...next week if golf now has the same great deal:)
Beautiful course. Very slow play.
We took 5 hours to play this course because we had to wait for EVERY SHOT. Not once did we see a marshal come around to speed things up. To look at, the course is beautiful and laid out well. But the fairways and the greens were cut too high. Even downhill there was very little roll.

Too slow
No rangers to monitor the ridiculously slow pace of play. The back nine took 2.5 hours and would have been 3 had it not been for the slow group leaving due to rain
Great course
I drove about 1hour and 30 minutes but it was worth it. Great condition and great views all around.
Good Round
Even with all the rain the course was in playable shape. Can’t wait to get back there in dryer conditions.
Fall golf
Played on a cool and brisk but sunny Sunday morning. Staff called in the morning to let me know it would be walking only due to wet conditions (expected this) but still good to get a call. Course was wet but in generally very good condition - fairways in great shape, greens very playable. Very nice layout. Will certainly play again.
No carts
Carts were not available due to wet conditions. This information was not made available at the time of booking. IT NEEDED TO BE. Was not an issue for us as we were able to walk the course. However, the twosome in front of us could not walk and left the course very dissatisfied.
