About
Garrisons Lake Golf Club, nine miles north of Dover, is a historic play centrally located to all parts of Delaware. The course is nature friendly: with tree-lined fairways and large, well bunkered greens throughout. The par-72, 7,060-yard course was recently renovated and improved, and players of all abilities will be confronted with a fair challenge. Not that there aren’t hurdles. Garrisons Lake is book-ended by two long plays: The 535-yard, par-5 first features out of bounds along the left side, and the 536-yard 17th features a challenging tee shot with trees on the right side. Garrisons Lake Golf Club also has a bustling practice range, putting green, golf shop and snack bar.

Garrison Lake
Good course, played from the black tees, very challenging and tight tree lines. Greens were in good shape for early May. Bunkers were very inconsistent some having nice fluffy sand and others no sand. Overall, I would definitely play it again
Solid course
Overall it’s a very solid course , staff is super friendly and the course itself is in great shape only real draw back is the lack of a club house
The green condition was nice. I enjoyed it very much.

All the grass is still dead. Just a fair practice round.
Thank you for your review Robosox. I wanted to clarify the condition of the course. We have Bermuda grass on most of the fairways, some of the collars and a mixture of Bermuda grass and Zoysia Grass around the bunkers. The grass loves the heat but goes dormant in the winter causing it to turn yellow. The grass is fine, it's not dirt, just yellow. It will start to wake up soon but be just as green as ever. We'd love to see you back.
Improvement in the works
Course has come a long way in recent years. Course was in very good condition for a February round. Trees are in the process of being removed from certain areas of the course. Looking forward to playing more there when the weather breaks. Hopefully a new clubhouse is in the near future. Excellent value for the rate paid.
