About
Garrisons Lake Golf Club, nine miles north of Dover, is a historic play centrally located to all parts of Delaware. The course is nature friendly: with tree-lined fairways and large, well bunkered greens throughout. The par-72, 7,060-yard course was recently renovated and improved, and players of all abilities will be confronted with a fair challenge. Not that there aren’t hurdles. Garrisons Lake is book-ended by two long plays: The 535-yard, par-5 first features out of bounds along the left side, and the 536-yard 17th features a challenging tee shot with trees on the right side. Garrisons Lake Golf Club also has a bustling practice range, putting green, golf shop and snack bar.

Front 9 in relatively good shape and greens fine but slow. Back 9 doesn't exist anymore. Renovations under way so don't play here from now till October. Fairways torn up and experimental process I've seen in Florida to re-do fairways underway. In fl it took 2 1/2 months ; here expect 4 months or more.
Thank you @Frankiethemooch for your review. By the looks of it, you seem to play here when we're under work, like back in April, we were just getting done with Aeration. As you saw through the golfnow booking, the back-9 is having work done on it, hence the reduced rate. We are converting 5-holes on the back-9 into Bermuda Grass so we created Par-3's on those holes. Once we're healed, by mid August, we look forward to seeing you out here. We will be aerating in Late September FYI.

Great course and value
Played on a Sunday with my son. Started thundering after the first 9. They gladly offered a rain check for the back 9. Pro shop staff was friendly

Great beginners course
My only criticism is the cart paths are in need of care. The course is in great condition. Management is about to close the back nine for repairs til the end of July.
Thank you for taking the time to review the course. The Cart Paths are on our list. the back-9 has 5-holes currently being converted to Bermuda Grass. It'll be fully healed by Mid-August at the latest as long as the weather holds. We look forward to seeing you in the future.
Nice Course
First time playing here and the course was in great shape. Can’t wait for the new clubhouse. Really great value.
Trouble with check in
I love the fact that when I play a round of golf I get a free sleeve of balls, for each player. That was not the case this past Sunday when we checked in. I paid for the round of golf and asked about the balls and the young woman couldn't give them since "it would mess up our inventory ". I was thoroughly confused and she tried explaining it but it made little sense.

Only one criticism. The cart paths need serious attention.

Love the layout
We started playing here a few years ago and love the layout. Love it!
Garrison Lake
Good course, played from the black tees, very challenging and tight tree lines. Greens were in good shape for early May. Bunkers were very inconsistent some having nice fluffy sand and others no sand. Overall, I would definitely play it again
Solid course
Overall it’s a very solid course , staff is super friendly and the course itself is in great shape only real draw back is the lack of a club house

We appreciate you commenting on the course. as GolfNow explained the work on the course prior to you accepting the deal, we are updating the course. We are sprigging 5 fairways into Bermuda Grass. The process will take up to 8 weeks, not 4 months. If the weather holds, it should be sooner. Thankfully these are the last 5 holes to be converted. Sand traps are next. We did reduce the rates for the time being for the inconvenience. We appreciate your business and hope to see you again.
