Situated just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, White Pines Golf Club has been a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The club offers two courses, the East and the West. The West Course is longer than the East by 400 yards and considered slightly more challenging. The layout is relatively tight and there is an abundance of trees, which means you'll need to be accurate to do well. The greens are large and challenging with difficult-to-read breaks. There is also minimal, but strategic bunkering along the greensides. The fairways provide plenty of variety with some that are narrow and heavily tree-lined and others that are wide with no trees in sight. The golf course has several challenging holes but it's forgiving enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Ist time back after 6 year abscence
Used to play here often six or seven years ago when I still lived here .
Now I live in Florida in Naples Fl.
This course is in beautiful conditioin . The Fairways and tees and especially the greeens are very good .
Started early , 6:20 AM and finished in 3 hrs and 15 minutes.
The greens are very smooth and almost no ball marks. Not very fast and very little discernable breaks.
Have played about 6 other courses in the greater Chicago area during my visit here from FL. , This course would be in the top three.
Cart paths are the least bumpy .
Halfway house was closed at 9:30 AM
Will definitely return and play again before I return to FL at the end of August.
Great but league is way too slow
Unfortunately the course was extremely back up due to the pace of play from the league. Starting on the back 9 took almost 2+ hours while the front nine took us much less once it opened up. Managing that would be tremendous. Overall great layout and upkeep. Thank you
White Pines golf course
Are use three times and got a great price for 18 holes with cart. I traded my brother-in-law tour day of golf. We were able to get out at 6:20 AM and we were off the course by 1030. . I would highly recommend this 2 - 18 Hole golf Course. Will probably play again next week.
Good greens and fairways but sand traps need different/more sand in them.
Great Value Track!!
Played this as a rec. from a friend. Got a $30 hot deal on a Thurs. morning. The course was in great condition, my only complaint which is consistent with munis at this price point is the length of the fairway grass. Its tight as can be so be ready to hit a lot of long irons off the tee. Greens were in good condition. Id say go play this track if you're looking for a playable spot that wont break the budget!
Best round of the year so far
I played well so obviously I’m happy! Classic tree lined course, several holes are ordinary but a few are interesting. Course is in good condition. Greens are small and flat. For my wife, this was a very long course, as many ladies tees were not much further up than men’s. Took more than 4:30 to play at 11:20 on July 5.
