About
Situated just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, White Pines Golf Club has been a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The club offers two courses, the East and the West. The West Course is longer than the East by 400 yards and considered slightly more challenging. The layout is relatively tight and there is an abundance of trees, which means you'll need to be accurate to do well. The greens are large and challenging with difficult-to-read breaks. There is also minimal, but strategic bunkering along the greensides. The fairways provide plenty of variety with some that are narrow and heavily tree-lined and others that are wide with no trees in sight. The golf course has several challenging holes but it's forgiving enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Colored Ballsl
This is a fun course to play.With the wind whipping through here it made it tougher .. Trees line some holes so a colored ball helps. Nice layout of different holes.The course is maintained well as I had no problem finding my ball in the fall. I would definitely play here again .Enjoy

Best Course of the Year
We played 20-25 times this year with 5-6 times at White Pines. Saved our last of the year play at our favorite course with the great weather at White Pines on November 20! The conditions at most courses we played during Covid this year were average to poor with only a couple that continued to keep course conditions excellent during these tough times! We had the second tee time of the morning and were pleased to see the multiple course maintenance crew taking care of the course in front of us! While other courses made excuses for their maintenance blaming Covid, that fell on deaf ears with us, since a few courses, to include White Pines, continue with proper maintenance and still continue to follow necessary Covid protocols. We look forward to next season at White Pines and hope for a miracle warm day between now and then...White Pines will be our 1st choice!!

Great round
Was paired with three others and had a great time.. Course was in great shape leaves are all picked up. No trouble finding your ball in the rough, grass was cut close. Staff was friendly pace of play was really good, finished our round in under 3 1/2 hours. No complaints enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather and hit the ball pretty well for the most part. I used to work at this golf course many many years ago on the ground crew. Cool to see how the course is doing now. Would recommendThis course to anyone who wants to play a challenging layout but not so challenging that you can't score well.

Nice muni
Played the east course twice this fall. Hard to beat for the money. Course sees a lot of play and the conditions weren’t bad , very playable with some challenging holes will make a point to go in season

Absolutely atrocious pace of play. The ranger is completely useless
