West at White Pines Golf Course

The only complaint I have is with the golf carts shutting down if you go in areas that are considered off limits, If you go into these areas and the cart dies, you have to push the cart back or go in reverse to get back in an unrestricted area. So be aware of where you're driving if using a cart.

Great overall I played from black Ts very challenging especially the par 3s hole 11 I believe in particular 195 wind In Ir face OB everywhere if ur have a great card go to the back nine and hit ur best shot on this hole it will and can blow up ur round very easy to navigate I will play again!!

The tee boxes on the East course were not in very good shape. The greens were on the slow side

This place (west course) checked off every mark in the box with flying colors!

Great price, wonderful course conditions, well maintained greens, friendly staff, and had a great variety of hole types that will test all players....none of those shorty par fours either!

AMAZING VALUE

I normally do not write reviews, mostly because I don't read reviews. I will give an establishment a try regardless of less than stellar reviews. This was my first time playing this course, which is a beautiful setup and a reasonable price for the area. This course has two main flaws that should be amended, The parking lot is too far of a walk to not allow carts in the lot. I would imagine for the elderly or the disabled this a challenge. Also, there isn't a place where you can drop off your clubs and then go park. While this an annoyance it is not the main issue. I do not know if the Starter/Ranger was having a bad or is just naturally extremely rude but he was awful. I played with two friends and my 73-year-old uncle. We arrived to the course later than recommended, our tee time was at around 1:30 pm I believe. I checked in at the front desk with two lovely and helpful young ladies. i told them rest of my foursome are bringing the bags and that we are a little behind because my elderly uncle is walking down. They advised me that don't worry about time it will be fine. She directs me to the course and carts. I go get both carts we load them up and head to the first tee. The starter was not there and there was another group playing. This is fine, not a big deal, so after they head down and are a good distance away we begin to get ready and tee off. Then come is a very aggressive ranger unfriendly, who rudely ask who are we, we explain that we are the 130 group. He says " well why are you late, and before I could answer he says do you a receipt (thank god I actually kept it this time, because I normally don't) I hand him the receipt he checked it crudely then once again reminded us that we needed to check with him. And normally at this point I would asked for the manager and for the owner's contact information because this customer service had reached the point of where now I am upset. But I did not, I wasn't going to let this guy ruin our day. So I smile and reply is there anything else I need to know as this our first time here. He says no. Then after we tee off my uncle takes the cart on to the course as he done countless times at other courses, when we find out the carts do not work on the course. So we had to push the carts of the course. This information would have been key if it was provided by the unfriendly ranger.

That being said the rest of day was fine, I did not complain to the women at the front desk, as I am sure most do. But, I won't be returning ever again, and I would not recommend this course to anyone I like. This is unfortunate because my law firm is always looking for good courses.

Beautiful day on a lovely course. Good challenge and quite the experience. Just breathtaking. Well worth it for the money.

Parts of the fairways like hitting off concrete. Grass missing from tee boxes which are mostly dirt.

There are too many courses in the area in much better condition.

I cannot recommend and I will not be returning anytime soon.

THE HOLES ARE ONE AFTER ANOTHER WITH NO GUESSING,,

THE GREENS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION..

Some poorly maintained greens but not a big deal this late in the season and on a cheaper/high volume course. Reason for the poor review is their starter/ranger will rant nonsensically just trying to force an altercation. Whether you're trying to social distance or you're breaking every rule, he will pick the opposite side and yell at you. We were social distancing and took separate carts (as the other employees allowed us to do) and he got mad. Then he got mad that two people (who live together btw) were in the same cart. He even held us up past our tee time.

Two pieces of advice for anything thinking of playing here:

1. Pick somewhere else, this place is cheap but there are better courses elsewhere

2. If not playing somewhere else, just tell the weird guy to be quiet. His bark is worse than his bite and all the other employees will apologize on his behalf so clearly he's a bad apple among the staff.
