Good deal on Golf Now 4 quality course
This was my second time playing this course. Very friendly staff and a nice layout to make it challenging but scoreable. The only thing was the greens could use some work and slower pace of play.

Fantastic
Course was in excellent condition for how much rain we had. It got pretty soupy and swampy in places, but that's standard in the south so you learn to love it. Greens were good, still a bit bumpy from recent aeration and people not repairing their ball marks (you know who you are, be better). But overall still one of the best public courses I have played within an hour of Atlanta. I will gladly come back and play again. Thank you!

Greens in rough shape
This course gets a lot of rounds and can usually handle it, but the greens were really beat this time. They seem to be growing them out too, were really slow.

Best public course in the area
With a lunchtime tee time we played in 3:45. The course was soft due to rainfall, which reduced tee shot distance but favored iron shots into the greens. The only blemish on this course was not the course's fault. Unrepaired ball marks, 'nuf said. The course is worth a visit.

Solid shape and best/friendliest staff around
Love RP! Best place to take kids. My son is 7 and has been playing for about a year. Although he plays as fast as anyone else, many other courses already give you the business and make you feel a little awkward for having your kid out their. Friendliest rangers and starters around.
The fairways were in the best condition I have seen in past 5 years. Greens are ok, still super soft and often balls get plugged. That being said, they are getting better. The team has invested a ton in the course (tree removal and new bunkers) plus new carts.
Great place to play and love you can get a free bucket of balls with your round. Price is creeping up. Hope they can keep it under $60 on Fridays and Weekend then it is a no brainer.
Overall, RP is a great value and always a good time!

Slow play
I've played River Pines many times and this was the slowest round I've played there and the course wasn't busy. Also looked like the greens had just been aerated and was told so greens did not play true. I will play again for pure cost but need to have more rangers pacing the course

Great Service and Easy Access
This is the only public course in Johns Creek with friendly staffs providing great service. I like the deal coming with a basket of practice balls before tee-time. We received thunderstorm warnings and messages. The tee-box and fairway are beautiful, well maintained. The green is kind of soft and slow with lots of ball markets.

Greens were bad shape & slow pace
Greens were full of unrepaired divots and areas of no grass. The pace of play was ridiculous even for a weekend round.
The golf shop staff was friendly but the ranger was somewhat rude and adamant that carts needed to be returned before 8pm even though it doesn’t get dark for another half hour during summer.

I enjoy this course, but pace of play is brutal
My only complaint is how slow our round was. My group was waiting on most holes, but waited about 20-25 minutes between hole 16-17 and about the same from 17-18. We had no groups behind us for an hour and a half, and they ended up catching up to us. Unfortunately, it ruined the round and I generally enjoy playing at River Pines.

One of the best conditioned public courses
Sand traps, fairways, and greens are well maintained. The only item keeping the course from perfect is a lot of unrepaired ball marks. Keep your divot tool handy, and everything will be OK. Always a treat to play there.

Greens are in rough shape
I’ve enjoyed my previous rounds at river pines but the greens and tee boxes were in really bad shape this time around.
