Andy keeping it tight and always in play Photo submitted by pdomzal16 on 04/16/2021
Great course but expect 4.5 hour round
Condition, staff, and overall experience were excellent. Just too many slow players.
Pleasure to play
Have not played here in several years. The course conditions have improved. The layout was always interesting and challenging. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were in very good condition. The rough was heavy in places and challenging. Enjoyed playing and will return
Great course in great condition
Course was great condition wise (always like layout) from tee to green. Pace was solid 4:10, but as a fast ready golfer, could always be a little better. Only real improvement could be practice areas as they were in moderately rough shape. Love playing here!
Riverpines is top quality for a public course around Atlanta
The course and practice facility are very nice. Views of the river, deer, and bunkers that are all in excellent shape make for a great round of golf.
Good, but:
The tee boxes need quite a bit of work, NOW; If left without care, they could become barren like the ones in the par-3 course; They are rock hard right now making it impossible to put any tees
Ole reliable
RP is lose to my house, fun to play once in awhile. Course is in decent shape, greens recently aerated.
Overall in Good shape
Course is in good shape for the heat we have had. Most of the tee boxes were extremely hard, which made it difficult at times to get a tee in the ground. Perhaps the ground crew could give them a bit of water. The greens are recovering from being too dressed and punched which made them a bit slow, but still in decent shape.
Enjoyed the round.
Decent
I love that range balls are included in your price for the round. I still think they are a bit high price wise but that’s def a plus. The course was in decent shape. The greens were slow, furry, and bumpy but that’s probably due to the weather. Seemed like they are bent grass greens so they can’t cut them too low. It’s a challenging course. Not very long (like 6600 or so from the tips) but it’s tight and protected. With the greens how they are, it’s very important to hit them in regulation. They have Marshalls all over the course but pace was still pretty slow, probably due to tee times being so close together. Overall decent experience but definitely not worth making that hour or so drive when i have better courses closer that are cheaper.
Well maintained course on a beautiful weather day
Course in great condition. Saw many workers on course keeping it healthy and enjoyable Shout out to them
Greens a bit slow but it is mid summer
Greens recovering from aeration
Greens were recovering from aeration and I would’ve absolutely been fine to look elsewhere had I know. It wasnt even worth reading the greens because it doesnt roll true. Greens are very slow, which wasn’t a surprise reflecting on my past rounds here. Tee boxes are in rough shape but bunkers are in great shape with lots of soft sand. Back 9 requires more course management moreso than the front 9. A backyard course if you absolutely run out of choices or limited to a public course and you live very close to it.
