Great round of golf
Conditions were great even though it was very warm. Had a nice round of golf.

Great conditions for value
Bent greens were rolling very true for summertime golf (just need people to repair pitch marks) and fairways are in great shape. We played in less than 4 hrs but it was a Wednesday afternoon. Think it’s a good challenge for all skill levels. Staff was friendly and accommodating!

Terrible slow pace of play, hostile rangers
First of all, if your cutoff time for golf cart return is at 8pm, dont accept 18 hole tee time after 330pm plain and simple like tall other good courses do. Instead, they take tee time up to 5pm for 18 holes, then rangers harass you the whole back 9 saying you need to return by 8pm. We had a foursome ahead of us terribly slow pace with a walker and the rangers didnt want to tell them to speed up, but they harass you like you can control the pace. The ranger was very hostile and rude. Will never play here again nor recommend it to anyone. Dont charge people for 18 holes take tee time "twighlight" time when you have a cutoff time thats highway robbery.

Hello. Sorry you had a bad experience at RiverPines Golf. We reduce the rate after 3:30 because players may not be able to finish all 18 holes by our closing time of 8:00. The rate after 3:30 is only slightly more than our 9 hole rate. If you want to play 18 holes I would suggest you booking an earlier tee time in the day.
Greens are pSander perpetually
I have been playing this course as a part of the Twilight Golf League since early April-2023. The greens were Sanded then, and in mid June they sanded them again; Just as they were recovering, I saw that they had been ee-sanded again within the past week- IMHO, not worth the green fee they charged, particularly with several ‘filler’ holes I.e. holes cut out just to fill the space with short distances nd no major hazards- 3 of the 4 par 3s(3,14,16) and the short par 4s No.9 and No.10. In fact, for the 80$ prime time weekend fee they charge, there are other courses within a 30 mile radius that are way better(within a ~20% price premium)

Great North Atlanta Course
The course was in great shape. Greens are perfect, fairways are nice, they rake the sand traps each morning and the course layout is nice. Some trees come in play and some approach shots to greens are challenging. Only some of the tee boxes need some help; but overall .. we will be back more often after this great experience. Shot my 2nd best score of the year thanks to the perfect condition of the course

Great conditions very friendly staff
We had an excellent experience at River Pines yesterday. The course conditions are exceptional. The fairways are plush, the rough is thick and the greens rolled very nicely. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to another round at RiverPines!

Not for short hitters
The course has numerous blind shots and long shots over hazards. For our first time to play the course, it was extremely difficult and frustrating when a good shot wound up in a hazard. If you cannot hit over 140 yards on the fly, don't play this course or else don't waste a ball and go over the hazard for your next shot. The course was in good condition with good greens.

First timer
Relatively new to the area and this is the best public course I’ve found. Played in the afternoon and it was about 94 out. Ugh! Saw the beverage cart once but they never made it around to me. To bad too as they would have made a killing. Will definitely be back.

A few more weeks and the greens will be back to normal from the Aeration as long as they trim and roll them.

Best Public Course in the North Suburbs of Atlanta
I enjoyed my experience overall here. It’s the best overall experience you will get within 30 minutes of the 400 corridor (Roswell/Alpharetta/Sandy Springs). The staff is mostly very friendly and the course is well kept. My biggest gripe with this place is that it is so popular that they overbook, and then are militant about pace of play. If you post 14-16 minutes per hole as pace of play, but book tee times every 8 minutes, don’t have the starter drive up to me to complain about pace of play and backups, especially when I stop at the turn with a 5-minute limit to buy food and beer. Other than that, I’d like to be a regular here
